When talking about winners, at this point Harden is being judged based on rings. He has zero, therefore seen as a loser. I don't agree with it, but that's the bar for an all time great.
If only Harden was a free agent and could have joined the Warriors instead of the Rockets current senior citizen savior.
Because of the Warriors and Celtics he only has 1 Finals Appearance and that was ages ago with OKC in 2012 - ....... That was 13-14 years ago.
uh im not over in the rockets forum. Im literally in the NBA Dish in a James Harden Thread Im were im supposed to be, the question is why are you not in the rockets forum
Truly pathetic how many people here have so much disdain for a guy who almost singlehandedly made us a perennial playoff team for nearly a decade. A guy who loves the city, wants to come back and play here again, and will one day have his number hanging in our rafters. A guy who is inarguably the 2nd best player in franchise history.... No wonder the ground level at TC is such a joke. Some of our most passionate fans salivate at the opportunity to spit on the finest talent the franchise has seen for the better part of three decades and can seemingly keep that hateful energy going no matter how long the dude has been gone. It's silly behavior but it sadly makes me want to match your ridiculous pettiness. Because truthfully, y'all didn't deserve Harden's prime anyway. I wish y'all had gotten 10 years of Ariza doing his Kobe routine, a decade of 33-49 playoff-less seasons. James was and still is a magician out there, freakishly skilled and dynamic. Easily one of the top offensive threats the game has ever seen. And yeah, he's flawed. As the refs pick and choose on whom and when to allow far more contact in the playoffs, it can completely throw him off his game. I also remember him having some monster performances in the playoffs too, but those games and series won were always immediately tossed aside by you ingrates. Rings, rings, rings. Congrats, you sound as smart as Shaq.
Don’t forget, that the NBA did their chicanery to ride their golden goose, Steph Curry to as many titles as they could (Steph truly appealed to everyone, blacks, whites, Asians, Hispanics, etc)…. The refs sealed the deal doubling down on the calls on the Rockets, while swallowing the whistles in favor of Golden State. it’s unfortunate that Harden did not fit the image at the time; and the NBA marketing machine made him the villain. Meanwhile they lauded Draymond Green who kicks people in the nut sacks on purpose; only because he was in Curry’s team. Harden got a raw deal (in regards to championships), and it sucks. But like several peers told him, after he went on a tirade about the fouls in the playoff; look at your bank account before you start calling for federal investigations into the NBA. And yup, Harden went quiet real fast after that.
Of course but you also forgot Houston bricking like 24 threes or something and then Harden was gassed.....at least not the same.....not to say Chris Paul had his signature hammy injury. All odds against them. There was always something with the Rockets, which was a contrast to the Hakeem Rockets....who just got it done although also not really favorites to do it. I hope Udoka can break that Curse but it seems like he continues the same 'There is always something up with the Rockets that is blocking them from Winning it All' all over again. At least he tried.
