I still tear good coupons (not really for groceries but for other stuff) out and stick them on the fridge so I don't forget about them. Then I go to Lowe's or wherever to get the thing and conveniently leave the coupon under the magnet on the fridge.

I'd rather if they're showing me a discount in the aisle it be for them tracking me with my phone number like it had been for years.

The Chick-Fil-A peeps literally tell you "get behind that blue truck" so there's no way you can screw it up.

This kind of thing is looked down upon in a lot of European countries. We live to work, they work to live.

How do we change it? I think it's slowly happening as a new generation of managers takes over corporate world, but we're still not on pace to get there.

Other people probably have better answers than me, but it seems like the Millennials and Gen Z'ers are being more selective when choosing jobs/careers than older generations were. They want work/life balance and work from home options and are more willing to hold out until they get what they want. And the job market is going to have to follow that trend.

My niece (bless her heart) went to college to be a teacher like her mom and Dad and got a job right out of college teaching 3rd graders, she ended up getting married in her 2nd year and had a kid a year later and decided she couldn't be a good teacher and a good wife and mother at the same time, even though her own mom and dad did the exact same thing with her so she ended up finding a PT teacher at her Church and was able to bring the baby with her.............I dont get that thinking but oh well, I think Gen Z are not about the work life, her hubby is a mechanical engineer and does ok for his second job and they make it work, he quit his very first job out of college with Jonson Control because he wasn't getting home until late and was "on Call" and they feel the need to be home together for dinner so he found a different job that allows that................I dont get it, but there happy and I guess thats what counts

Commercials. I’ve hated them for a really, really long time and do what I can to avoid them.
    Commercials suck.

Let's be real, the ability to hold out is because their parents are there as a parachute.

My wife stayed home with our youngest and honestly, not having a job was a big psychological blow for her. She gets a lot of personal fulfilment from working. She wouldn't give back the time with our oldest but I know that past maybe 3 years old he should have been in daycare. Our other two kids were in daycare from before they were 1-on and they're perfectly fine and my wife has been able to have a career.

It's brutal. They don't even try to make it look good/realistic. Can sometimes look pretty creepy.

That's why it's called family, my children can expect the same.
