It is too early to say, Steve Nash became generational, Steph Curry as well, Reed, well, who knows how good he will eventually be, he is certainly a generational shooter. He is the best shooter I have seen on the Rockets, ever and I have been watching them since 1972. DD
13.6 points (.507 / .488 / .667) 2.4 rebounds 3.1 assists (1.1 to's) 1.6 steals 0.4 blocks 24.0 minutes
Wemby has disappointed...who?!?!?!? Who has he disappointed??? What do you mean for his size he's not skilled? You act like he's Andre Drummond or something lol. He can legit cross wings over, shoot threes, bring the ball up the court, at 7'4" they LITERALLY call him the Alien because we've never seen a player like him before. It really is not even a competition between Wemby and Chet lol. Wemby is above and beyond what Chet is...like I said, Chet isn't even better than Sengun! Sengun today is in the MVP race (although at 9 or whatever) already has an all-star to his name, and has already been the #1 guy on a #2 seeded team. This is exactly what I mean when I say Chet is overrated by fans. Like I Said, I see him like Klay Thompson. Right place, right time, right team. Good player, like Klay was with Steph, but he's not the 'franchise', SGA is, then Jdub is, THEN Chet. I think this conversation triggers me man because it reminds me of all the NBA fans that would go "Klay is better than James Harden!" because Klay had the benefit of playing with Green and Curry and then Durant and could just run around and hit open shots all day meanwhile Harden had to carry the entire offense for his team only for people to go "Klay the best SG in the NBA..." You're right actually, his shooting numbers in college were insane and Reed is shooting 47% from three. I agree, no reason to put a cap on his ceiling yet, he's 21 and this is basically his first year as he hasn't played 82 games yet.
If you have not watched Chet recently, he looks like 7 ft 1 or 7 ft 2 ish Durant out there. That is not something you can stop, also he goes a lot to his midrange now.....also Durant like with pump fakes and such. Also helps if both Durant and Chet have similar body builds. Again this is not about who Chet is now but what he can become lol he has vast upside. Sengün and Luka Doncic are not normal, they went Pro when they were 16 or 13/14 in Luka's case.....that is not normal. Leading with Sengün as an example is a lazy cop out, dude just was all basketball his entire childhood, imagine Hakeem Olajuwon going pro at 15 or 16, dude would be even better. Chet is an American of course he is a later bloomer. A lot of those guys choose between baseball, football and bball very late.
But quickly to another point, I would not go to either of them in Clutch, both have centers of gravity that are too high. You would want an SGA or Jay Dub to close out close games for sure. Same problem goes for Wemby. Generational or not, both are too tall when the ball is fought over on the floor.
per 36 minutes 6th in 3FGM of the 8 guys who made at least 4 3 pointers in 36 minutes, he is first in 3FG% at 48.8 ahead of Curry, Grayson Allen, Sam Merril, Donovan Mitchell of the same group he is tied at first in FG% at 50.7 https://www.nba.com/stats/players/traditional?CF=MIN*GE*200&PerMode=Per36&dir=A&sort=FG3M
On the other side of that story, there have been many games where he was wide open many times and his teammates simply didn't feed him the ball.
When I saw Reed play with the Vipers last season, I saw what he was capable of, and saw what his role should be with the Rockets. I said then that Reed needs to be the lead dog. He CAN create for others. He CAN handle the ball. The offense CAN flow through Reed. Reed is still learning the point guard position. But, the skill and talent is there. His confidence is building. What is so exciting is that he is still just starting to scratch the surface of what he is capable of. It may still be a couple of years until we see Reed in full flight, but it is coming.
You dont know that yet. And the early signs are that he's a generational shooter. He has played 66 total NBA games and in his second season is averaging 50% from 3 and carried his team in an important game. You need to see the signs. They are there.
I had a good time taking an excursion into the Realms of generational understanding.... But I found myself basically talking to a Wemby guy. I saw Jamal Crawford deciding games so it is not like bench players haven't decided games before.
Idk what that means but all of Reed, Chet and Wemby have a chance to be generational. They all have their downsides and arent sure things.
because Jollibee is a filipino fastfood chain and persian guy was just telling filipino poster to just eat filipino fastfood thats what happens when you lost an argument
Question is: Who's gonna be the scorer off the bench once Reed finally gets to start? Is that what's holding Ime back?
