It’s amazing how in this forum, 790, etc. that Caley, the OL, Mills, and Caserio (and Demeco, and the owner) can all simultaneously suck but each be the reason for everything bad happening at that particular instance/need to be fired on the spot.
Trying to read a man’s entire emotional state from a single frozen frame in the middle of the coach talking? It's not a mood ring, it's a video on pause.
I know we love to have a complex that we get no respect. Last night's game really turned some heads though. Most national media I've come across really spent a lot of time talking about our D rather than making a million excuses for Allen. Feels good getting some love.
Just fyi excluding the Seattle game. Stroud had a lower Time to throw on average than David did albeit extremely close. But ok. Keep going.
Great point. The rookie made a few mistakes, but overall, Reed made some outstanding open field tackles. When I rewatched the game, Reed was everywhere. Many didn't like the pick at the time, but it seems DeMeco knew what he was doing.
That's not what the numbers I have say. Davis Mills is averaging just under 2.6 seconds, quickest in the league.
I wrote my thesis on interpreting body language and I can say with 100% certainty that CJ has never been more pissed off in his life.
CJ's problem has Josh Allen's last game's problem of taking sacks and not throwing the ball away. If CJ struggles early they have to go back to Money. I could see Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones and Baker Mayfield mold. It is going to be ugly if CJ don't continue this high tide.
Part of CJ's problem is that he has the ability to make magic happen sometimes....so he tries to do that when he shouldn't. Sometimes, most times actually, it's best to take what the defense gives you and get the ball out quickly and push down the field rather than trying to turn every play into a homerun. Another issue is that he hasn't been an accurate passer this season....something that was absolutely not the case his rookie season. I think the problem is that he's not very quick with mental processing on plays that either don't have a predetermined outcome or on plays where something goes wrong with the one predetermined read, this slow processing leads to him holding on to the ball longer than he should, which leads to being pressured, that leads to him not trusting the O line, which leads to inaccurate passes due to expecting to get hit and rushing the throws, which leads to 3rd and forever situations, which leads to him holding on to the ball too long trying to get the big play, which leads to sacks, which leads to him not trusting the O line, which leads to him holding on to the ball even longer and more inaccurate passes. Mills doesn't have the talent CJ does, but he's got a lot more going on between the ears than CJ seems to. If you could put Mills brain in CJ's body, you'd have a generational QB. There's no scenario where Mills gets the Texans anywhere in the playoffs, so they simply have to have CJ start performing like his rookie season again....but I'm not sure he's got it in him.
LOL. Mills would have ONE good quarter a game. You are not winning consistently by doing that. CJ is not getting benched for Mills. BTW, Mills does not have the Natural talent of those 3 QBs. Every one of them was a high 1st round pick for a reason.
