After watching the entire 30+ min video Mamdani has piqued my interest. A month ago I didn't even know who he was but he was perceptive, articulate, and charismatic while playing Trump like a fiddle. Depending on how he does in NYC he will definitely have a chance to be the future face of the democratic party whether those old fossils at the top like it or not. It's far past time for new blood...

That press conferences today was wild. It really made sense though when Al Sharpton came on after and told stories about going to boxing matches with him when he would for weeks leading up hype of one of the fighters and when in round 3 his guy is getting beat he suddenly is the biggest fan of the other boxer. It just makes me wonder what kind of world we would be in if Trump didn’t have Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon, and others in his ear all day. Sadly tomorrow he’ll wake up, listen to Stephen Miller, watch FoxNews, and then order Mamdani to be hung because he’s an Isis sleeper cell agent. But more than anything Mamdani is insanely good at this thing. He did more in an hour meeting with him to coax him than any world leader has up to this point. In that meeting too he didn’t move on a single issue. He was incredibly disciplined while still keeping Trump swooning over him. pretty freaking impressive.
I like Mamdani obviously but what concessions did he get out of Trump? The press secretary said tonight on Hannity theyre still ramping up their ICE operations and will continue deploying the feds. Lets not pretend Trump capitulated and give him credit at a time he deserves none.

Your prior post noted that Mamdani didn’t get any concessions from Trump and while yes Trump is still going to send ice to NYC and go right back to calling him communist scum etc, but I would argue at least from a political media standpoint, Mamdani just got a years worth of free political media messaging contributions. Especially for the Democrats running in 2026. The entire midterm strategy of the right was to make the case to voters that X Democratic candidate, regardless of how normal they seem, shouldn’t be voted into your boring suburban or rural community seat because it would allow for a communist socialist jihadist Israel hating baby and Christian killing tyrant named Zohran Mamdani to take power behind the scenes running the DemocRAT party!! Zohran achieved quite a bit in that meeting even if not policy concessions are made, and the contribution to the Democratic Party for 2026 cannot be understated.
