Not since they nailed this draft class. The fans already love Kon. Brandon Miller, too.

Charlotte won’t dump LaMelo, but I think they’re sober about recognizing what they have and what they don’t have in an unreliable enigma like LB.

That said, hell no us going after him.

Yeah Lonzo has always been the opposite of his brother personality wise. Focuses on team basketball, great shooter, defense and takes care of the ball. Injuries are a thing unfortunately

The dude is a very talented ballplayer, and has all the skills and physical tools to be a true franchise carry.

But everything about this guy screams underachiever who doesn't really take the game seriously. I've heard someone say that he plays basketball like he's wearing airpods and I've never heard a more truthful insult. He's in his 6th year in the league and it still looks like he's playing a casual pickup game. On top of that he has the other glaring issue of never being able to stay healthy.

Maybe eventually the light will come on and he will be the guy that competes for MVP's, but I'll be damned if I want us to take that chance. Even the thought of having to root for this dude makes me a little sick.

LaMelo has 24 years of junk, joke basketball to undo

    AAU is trash hoops

regular high school he was launching from halfcourt and just throwing up whatever garbage shot he wanted

    no college

Hornets have been a loser franchise for years now, and he has been allowed to play undisciplined basketball from day 1

he is very skilled and talented, but he has never played a meaningful game in his life…he’s never been on a serious team

he took 11 threes a game last year on 34% shooting…no real team would ever allow that

IMO, the only reason they wouldn't dump him this year is his trade value is so low, maybe even negative.

Unavailability and his big contract, no for the Rockets.

But as far as Iko's latest report, people near the Hornets org are saying both sides could be open to the idea, whereas it wasn't the case last year.

He is erratic. I believe the Rockets should avoid getting him.

    Agree.

To clarify, when I say both sides are now open to it: I mean Hornets and LaMelo. Not Hornets and Rockets.

    If y'all liked Jalen Green's .544 TS%, you're absolutely love Ball's .514!

Despite the Lamelo trade idea floating by the national media for a couple years now, LaMelo was reportedly still happy there. But the recent heat of a move seems real.

Miller hasn't come back (supposedly soon). Knueppel is playing well, but he was benefiting from LaMelo's gravity, despite LaMelo himself not been good.

And if Lamelo is shipped out, Hornets could reset, but they'll have to look (or draft a point guard), which they hope would have a Lamelo potential. Lamelo also moves merch with the younger fans, which isn't always the case for a bad team.

It's a tough decision over there. Folks will see if another team like the Clippers or someone else, could make an offer.

    Harden
    Lamelo
    Trae
    Ja
    :D

    Sexton?
    Coby?
    McCollum? (More likely a buyout)
Ty Jerome? (Oops, out with a calf strain)
    Jose Alvarado?
Tyus Jones? (CF raves about this guy every year. “I wish we had him. Perfect backup.”)
CP3? (He wanted to be back in Cali for family.)
Kings are gonna have a fire sale. Schröder, Westbrook, Monk, Carter, Lavine, DeRozan

Anyways, they don’t have much to trade. Lose in the 2nd round, run it back with Fred next year.

Injuries have devastated both Lonzo and LaMelo unfortunately. Neither has played 50 games in a season in four years. And it's recurring lower body injuries as well, ankles and feet. Even if I were the biggest fan of LaMelo's game in the world I'd want to see at least one healthy season before considering trading for his contract.

This is the most accurate post I have seen. I think he may have one of the lowest bball IQ's I have ever seen. Seeing him give interviews over the last few years also shows me that he really doesn't care that much about winning, he just wants to be cute and have as many Instagram or Tiktok followers as possible. Essentially, take the immaturity that made Kobe dislike Dwight and multiply it by 10. When you combine his attitude, with his contract and health, I can't think of a player I have ever wanted on the Rockets less, especially while we are a contender.

I don't know if it's BBIQ or just a plain old bad attitude. But I agree he cares more about getting paid, showing off and winning comes waaaaay after that. I wouldn't touch LaMelo at all. Bad Attitude, isn't a leader and doesn't care about winning at PG? Hard Pass.
