    Two problems with this list.
#1: Folks need to stop referring to people as 50% white. Historically, being 50% means you are an outcast in both white communities and black communities. Biracial children often get the worst of both worlds. You are rejected by both sides. So much so that they had to invent a new term, Mulato, which was a new way to slander bi-racial people. Just say bi-racial, if you must. It's just straight-up meaningless and condescending to call somebody 50% white.

#2: Reed doesn't belong in that list (yet).

On a different note, it's not racist to notice and discuss someone's race. Just the opposite, actually. The term "racist" is over used. Racism is when you use your power/authority/position to impede somebody else purely because of their skin color or background. Expressing a personal preference isn't racist. For example, it isn't racist to only date white people, especially if you are white. It's just a preference.

On the basketball court, every player gets targeted. Tall players get attacked cause people want to dunk on them for the simple reason that they are tall. It's sports. Everybody is looking for an edge to compete.

Now if the coaches refused to play Reed because he was white or the Refs were calling more (or less) fouls on him expressly due to his race, that would be racism. Going hard at Reed on the court is called sport.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

That is the woke definition of racism. Anyone can be a racist.

just google the word. Look at first definition provided.

Interestingly, 3.5 of the top 4 leaders in assists per game are white.

    Jokic
    Cunningham (biracial - 50% white)
    Giddey
    Doncic

Rejected by both sides? I don’t think so. Many beloved American athletes are biracial. Mahomes, Jeter, Judge (probably), and many more. If you think about it, you kinda get the best of both worlds — the smarts and the fast twitch.

Yes if there’s a white person and a non white person
Both people can be racist because humans are tribal
But if you are woke you can hate yourself and hate your own race for no reason at all

Ummmm, so you are doing a random "google" search and using the first result as your authoritative source? :D

...and we wonder why civilization keeps getting worse.

    History and context matters.

As an aside, the word "woke" isn't even what you think it is. The term was coined by black people during the Jim Crowe era. You are doing it wrong. But I don't blame you cause very few people bother to learn the history or context. ;)

"I don't think so"? There is a very long history in America (and elsewhere) of the troubles of raising biracial babies. Just as one obvious example, Trever Noah's book is titled "Born A Crime" because he was biracial. So yea, if you want to cherry pick a few names of people that made it simply because they were otherwise insanely talented and now have a bunch of money, sure. Go for it. For every rule, you can always find exceptions.

Conversely, which on the surface contradicts the previous point, nearly every person of color in America and many "white" people in America are multi-racial if you start digging into genetics.

My main point is that calling someone "half white" is a useless exercise on many fronts. It's lazy analysis, doesn't mean much, and is probably demeaning.

So to all my fellow white people, just stop calling people "half white". It's lazy and makes you sound dumb. If you don't care if you sound dumb or insulting, carry on.

You just want to say only whites can be racist. You should just say that and quit pretending (badly) to be smart. Keep excusing bad behavior if you must. Anyone can be a racist.

Trevor Noah is wildly successful and beloved by millions! A shockingly bad example of someone who is struggling with being biracial!

Projecting are we? I said just the opposite. Expressing a preference or an opinion doesn't make you racist.

People should be discussing race MORE, not less. People that say "they don't see race" are liars.

Go look up the actual definition of racism and stop blindly calling people racist because you disagree with them. Oh, and feel free to check other people who call you racist if they don't know what the word actually means.

Lazy. What's shocking is how you snipped the rest of the quote that literally answers your objection.

    Context matters.

    Be better.

He was successful not because he's biracial, it's in spite of being biracial.

I remember the Lin fans accused Rockets fans of being racist and Houston not having any Asians living there
These were first woke people on Clutchfans, I don't count the Yao fans because they were more nationalists from China

Like when Lin threw up an airball, it was racism that blocked his shot
