Are liberals smart enough to know that freezing rent will lead to less housing being built? Anyone who has sat through a single day of Economics 101 would know this. Developers have a reduced incentive to build. Less housing being built will deepen the affordability problem in NYC. It is stunning to me that there are Americans who cannot recognize this. But then again, I look at Mamdani’s voters (people with limited life experience, and “new” Americans) and can see how we got here.

It is, but not sure it’s intentional. Especially when my Facebook is flooded with acquaintances and family who clearly have MDS. The other week during Veterans Day at my daughter’s elementary school they brought in a guest speaker veteran who during his speech decided to go on a rant about how the country is headed in the wrong direction because they just elected a communist Muslim who was going to wreck the country. That was a speech to TEN year olds or younger. If that isn’t MDS I don’t know what is. He’s the mayor of one city in a state on the other side of the nation. His tyrannical regime will not interfere with your life in Southlake, the Woodlands, Pearland, or wherever. So whether mocking them or not, it actually does reflect the derangement the maga right is currently going through, and shows how gullible they are to having their fragile minds splintered by fear by FoxNews and Trump propaganda.
Might be foolhardy to ask for a meeting with Trump. Maybe he feels like he needs to, to try to do something to curb Trump from selectively persecuting NYC. But it might also just invite persecution.
he is going there to discuss issues with affordability and ways he can improve the lives of New Yorkers…if Trump and his stooges are antagonistic while he’s there or bring about any sort of persecution of NYC, it will just raise Mamdani’s stock even more unlike all the grifters and business men who visit Trump and the WH to try and enrich themselves, Mamdani is visiting on behalf of the people…so the Trump regime can try it, but I don’t think it will work out too well now if Mamdani goes there and starts groveling and riding Trump’s nuts, that will be a different story

That press availability was something completely unexpected and it is obvious Mamdani is a really, really, really good politician. Zohran had Trump completely bamboozled and blathering on like a socialist.

I’ve seen a lot of the clips, and Trump loves him for sure Zohran better stop before Trump tries to make him his next Bubba Mamdani has a swag and charisma that a lot of these dorky Dem politicians don’t have…he also believes in his positions and isn’t spewing what some DC focus group told him to say he commands respect
