Never understood the Mobley hype. I actually forgot he won DPOY, like how? He looks mediocre in all aspects of his game, yet media tries to hype him up all the time, it's weird. Actually reminds me of Jaren Jackson Jr. Both those guys are super overrated imo. JJJ barely averages 6 rebounds a game - how can you be a DPOY when you're a big that can't rebound?

Honestly I’d take Jalen Duran over him but mostly because of his attitude. Mobley is pretty soft and isn’t the hungry/aggressive type. Same reason Jalen Green didn’t really fit. I think AAU ball has ruined a lot of prospects in that way tbh

The Bucks would have to give us picks plus Giannis if they wanted Alpi. The leap is real.

Do so, I have nothing but nice things to say about both places. It's easier for us Europeans to visit all the other countries I guess because we're so much closer but Turkey and Greece are "go to" destinations for all of Europe for vacations for a reason. Beautiful places, beautiful people, beautiful food and usually beautiful weather too. Plus so much stuff to see in both if you're into history which I kinda of am as a huge nerd. I'd actually generally say most people in most places are pretty nice and welcoming, but I'd rank those Mediterranean countries pretty high tbh, there's a laid-back and homey vibe which is just as big a reason as the sunshine for why we all go there in my opinion.

He's a coach's kid, but his Dad's not his coach any more. The Cavs (or whoever they trade him to if he's dubbed a disappointment) just need to hire his Dad in a big role and he'll do a Brunson and becoming a big time star.

This might sound a bit weird to anyone outside Turkey, but honestly, my favorite part of this video was seeing him drink Rakı with his friends. As you might know, Turkey has been ruled by a conservative Islamist party for a long time. For years, they’ve been systematically interfering with and suppressing people's lifestyles.

I’m not just talking about political dissidents getting arrested. If your daily life or style doesn’t align with their beliefs, they punish you one way or another. And if you’re famous or visible on social media, they make sure to do it publicly to make an example out of you. That’s why most celebrities basically censor themselves now. We’ve become a country where people literally hide their glasses or bottles under the table when taking photos. That’s why Alpi openly explaining and drinking Rakı -our national drink- is a much bigger deal than most people might realize.

What's interesting is if you read the comments on this tweet, almost everyone pans Mobley and most of them seem to be Cavs fans.

Mobley is a very good player. Every player gets owned, sometimes. I think most of the disappointment and anger is because of his max contract (5yrs/$270M). They'll be paying him over $61 million in 2029/30.

I think he was great ....and that was way before Wemby and Chet.... Wemby and Chet are going to change the league forever.

Now the so called experts don't want to lose face and continue to back Evan.........that is also predictable.

This is calling the Lakers and Timberwolves contenders if they were not in the West.

There are always going to be players greater than Mobley.

    Now OKC, Denver, Houston Rule!

Alpi is starting to scare the crap out of the league. He's only 23 years old, and he will likely hit his peak in 2-3 years.

2 - 3 years? Hell, his peak may be even further than that. Most players peak around 27 to 29.

So far, MIP. The leap is crazy. From
borderline all star to borderline super star.

He has proven that the old school center position is alive, along with a faceup jumper.

This play is what I think embodies the true evolution of Sengun. He’s always been good at his bigman footwork. However, combine that with the ability to drive in on the reigning DPOY from the perimeter? There really is no answer for him.

I swear Alperen or someone close to him reads this BBS. Every time we ask him to improve on a certain area of his game, he does it. His flamingo jumper and fadeaways are back on track. Thankful you're on our team, big guy.
