If there are haters out there (and I still roll my eyes over how the "Laker Doncic" deal went down only for Dallas to leap like Hulk to the #1 spot), let them remember that, "Amen is a bust" (many on this board when Ime wouldn't play him until injuries forced his hand). "Yao is a bust" (mostly non-Houstonians at the time).
Yeah but age used to say stuff about you, but you can also stagnate in those years....... Edgecombe does not seem to be a Swiss army knife, he is a scorer first and foremost, so him being couple years older does not say much. There is parts of development that needs a lot of time, and there is parts that do not need a lot of time. I remember people holding out hope for Jalen Green because he was younger than Anthony Edwards, for the love of dear lord, just stop with that.
Cooper Flagg has one bigger problem, how to unlock his high Volume Offense much like Kawhi who had a smoother transition. The difference being an MVP Candidate and an ordinary couple time All Star.
You can't push a guy with both forearms. Should have been an automatic foul call. CJ McCollum is a joke.
At Cooper's age, Kawhi was still a freshman at San Diego averaging 12 points on 45% FG and 20% 3PT. Flagg improved tremendously during his college year. Like every month he was better and better. No reason to think he's suddenly going to stop improving at age 18-19 in the NBA.
Wouldn't surprise me if Dall@ss get another Top4 pick and pair Coop up with an Offensive mind. Texas tussle with Flagg/Sengün/Wemby.
Dallas certainly deserves more compensation then just Flagg for giving Luka away to the Lakers and taking back a broken down AD in return. Silver will probably give them two more top 4 picks in the next two drafts like he did with the Spurs after giving them Wemby.
Apologies if I'm way late here, but did Flagg graduate high school early? I don't understand how he's still 18 after one year in college.
