Congratulations, Texans. You overcame a lot this week: being on the road... playing a (checks notes) NFL team... and the curse of my congratulating you too early and violating the conditions of my parole.
What's more likely, they've been holding those plays in reserve for Mills or Stroud just hasn't done them correctly.... or chooses to not do them as called?
The Bears D has given up 101 more points than the Texans. Bears O has 38 more points than Texans. So Bears offense isn't totally keeping up. Bears overall have a negative 6 points differential Bears are 7-3.. Texans were almost 4-6 Bears have a good run game, decent O by yards. If Texans offense was good in just ONE area of the O, instead of bottom tier everything, they'd be better off.
What's wild on this, this is the points per game for last year's 10-7 team, and this year's team 2024: 22.7 PPG 2025: 22 7 PPG ? Fair to say that this year's PPG might be misleading, helped by 5 quarters of offense spike: From 1 full Ravens game, and from 1 '4th quarter last week. They have some long dry spells with untimely pass pressures allowed & short yardage struggles. But basically its the same offensive ranks this year as last year. Last year maybe a Joe Mixon to help patch the drives, but no certainties this year in the offensive unit
Yeah, our offense is sad to watch most of the time. Sometimes I think you don't need a top paid QB, if you put all that money into top tier offensive linemen, and have a great offensive coach. I guarantee we would have a much better rushing game, and even a good medium paid backup could flourish with that.
So we're tied with KC and Ravens (who the Texans have the head to head tie breaker over). That KC game is so effing huge.
Just one loss behind both the chargers and the Jags for the last two playoff spots. We play Chargers at the end of the season.
I guess you haven't been watching football in the last 20 years. You don't win without (consistently) without elite QBs. And the medium paid QBs? Do they grow on Trees? The good ones are usually signed to atleast $40 million a year and they usually don't win Super Bowls.
My point to that is, the great defense is giving so much room for error. That Texans offense has the lowest expectation, to be good in just one piece within the piece. (And they cant even do that little)
The best part of this win was the very audible cheer you could hear in Nashville when Wrights' game winner went through the uprights. Suck it Bud. Suck it Amy.
