He 100% should have taken the life changing money that would have set him up for generations. And most of us called it. It definitely sucks and I hope for a fast recovery and that we can still keep him long term. 4-6 weeks is not horrible, but he definitely seems like one of those guys that every time he goes down we will be wondering if he’s hurt again. Fast recovery Tari.

I disagree that it doesn’t impact his next contract. It absolutely does. He’s become a player now that you can count on to miss significant time every year due to injuries. That’s sort of what this injury sealed. He needed to prove he can play nearly the entire year. And now he will have three years in a row with significant time missed at his young age.

If you’re a GM of any team out there there’s no way you’re throwing some huge contract (especially fully guaranteed) to Tari and then holding your breath anytime he hits the floor since you’re wondering if he’s out for the next few months.

This absolutely impacts his contracts situation.

This is not a serious injury, just a contact bruise that will take time to heal, - it won't affect any contract or anything anyone on our team could have gotten this.....not a big deal at all.

DD right but 4-6 weeks means it is severe. Didn’t look all that bad. The question is HE FRAGILE ?

That's the problem actually -- too many breaks.

I missed the play in question but you can't tell a muscle pull by looking, just by the reaction of the player

So it turned out more than a contusion, I recall Dillon Brooks had a strained oblique last year....

And Banchero had one as well.

Oh, so not a hip contusion but a strained oblique, that’s why the longer layoff…

Got-DAMN, I know injuries happen in the NBA, but Tari Eason, same old bulls*** with this dude.

And Dorian Finney-Smith signed as damaged goods in the first place.

Jae-Sean Tate and Uncle Jeff, come on down!

Well that caused the oblique strain......which is not serious at all.

4-6 weeks out for hip contusion means there’s soft tissue damage or they’re just giving the longest time just in case he doesn’t heal fast enough. DFS was upgraded to Day to Day but according to Ime there’s no time table so I’m gonna go with the head coach is saying so time for Reed to play +30mins

Tari averages 23 mins per game. I would give 5-6 mins to Sheppard, who is only playing 22 mins per game. Let’s see if he can level up faster. I would also give 5-6 mins to Okogie, who also averages 22 mins per game. Okogie is shooting it well from distance and though he is 3 inches shorter, he is very physical defensively and can handle tari’s assignments. That probably leaves 10-12 mins per game for Tate. I really hate watching Tate play, but we don’t really have a choice.

Wish DFS was healthy. Well wishes for Tari. Was off to an amazing start. I hope he can pick up where he left off when he’s back. In the mean time, more minutes for Reed and Okogi. Please God no Tate

Remember when Jabari was being mocked for doing just that.
