Udoka would be playing FVV over him still. Stone gets all the credit for Reed. We would have seen this last year if Reed would have played. DD
Promising. Steph was a legend at a smaller school, Reed was a bench player on the elite UK... Then, Steph goes to a GSW team that was 26-56, and plays 36 minutes per game, Reed goes to a 52-win team and barely plays... Overall, Reed hasn't had the game reps that Steph's had, so he'll take awhile, but I am starting to get on this bandwagon...
Reed is early to the party. Did not expect to see this level of confidence till game 20 or later. With Reed and Sengun's 3PT shots arriving, we're a 60 win team (give or take).
Imagine what the team would be when chapter 840 comes to fruition - Jalen is now a good player!!!!!!!!!
Is he beating Okogie out for that spot? Making a hell of a case. Helps Amen a lot having Sheppard on the court with him. Holiday can handle the backups.
It's so refreshing having actual teammates be positives for the rest of the guys out there on the court!!! Almost unheard of after having to sit through watching Jalen be a total negative to every single player who shared the court with him the past 4 years. Chapter 143: Here's why Jalen is actually so good when all the stats say he's so bad!!!! You really need to petition Clutch to change your name to Krusty The Klown.
Jalen was absolutely toxic, but Front Office and coaches have a big share in the blame. Giving the keys to a net-negative guy for 4 years, inexcusable.
We have our third future superstar for a home grown big three with Alpi, Amen & Reed. We have KD for the next few years to smooth out the growing pains while our big three become all they can be. We will be going toe to toe with OKC for several years. This is going to be fun to watch.
I see why some people are so hung up on Reed starting. He's up to 25 MPG the last 3, and playing just as much as Okogie. Let him keep building up confidence and experience in the current role, no need to rush things. Udoka has always shown that he believes in what Reed can do, even if it seems like he's been hard on him in terms of yanking him off the floor.
I wonder if the haters who have abandoned this thread are even Rockets fans. How can you hate on the emergence of a 21 year old shooting stud on your team.
Not necessarily true. FVV and Amen would be starting and Reed would be the backup guard like he is now. Most likely, Okogie would lose more PT than Reed. Though, Reed would have lost a few minutes in the earlier games. Playing well is all Reed has ever needed to do for minutes.
