The blame is on Schumer. Its his caucus that he failed to hold together. His members only voted yes bcz they got the green light from Schumer. What a pathetic individual

They're giving cover to Ossoff and the others that are up for election sooner.

Right, and they're giving Ossoff cover to say he fought for them and voted no. He was on the list of Senators that were part of the secret negotiations.

Dems showing there's no need to ever seriously negotiate with them because they'll always cave first.

The main thing is, Chuck will be able to sleep tonight knowing that the Baileys will be able to travel over this Thanksgiving holiday without fear of unnecessary flight delays or cancellations.

Of course, they're still not voting for him. Ever.

The 14,541 Walmart employee on food stamps is based on a SNAP survey conducted by GAO on only 9 states–Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Nebraska, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington. Here's the GAO report: https://www.gao.gov/assets/d2145.pdf

According to this site, those nine states accounts for 929 of the 4625 total stores in the US.

Assuming each store has the same number of employees and 1.6 million total Walmart employees in the US, those 929 store accounts for about 320k employees.

So 14.5k employees on SNAP out of 320k would be 4.5%.

So approximately 4.5% of walmart employees in those states are on SNAP.

Maybe that doesn't change your belief, but it's valuable to not be mislead by the data.

No one is LOSING their healthcare subsidies. These were TEMPORARY measures that the DEMS set as temporary during COVID times. These enhanced subsidies were never intended to be permanent and always intended to sunset. And now when they sunset, the Dems are acting like something is being taken away. The recipients had years to plan for this... and Democrats had years to inform them that they were temporary. It's just the latest case of Democrat dishonesty to try to claim that these emergency COVID measures should stick around... that wasn't the deal.

We can't afford another $1.5 trillion in deficit spending -- that is highly inflationary. You'd have thought the Dems learned what causes inflation by now... guess not!

Just remember MAGATs gave Argentina 40 billion dollars to bailout their failed leader but refused to spend the same amount helping Americans keep their insurance. 30 million people are on the verge of losing their insurance cuz MAGATs chose Argentina over Americans.

    MAGATs never cared about Americans

Amigo, you don't ever understand how the Argentine deal was structured -- it was a currency swap. That was a GREAT investment, and will help the global economy, including the USA. We'll make good money on that deal. And don't compare a CURRENCY SWAP with a grant or aid. It's not the same. Biden gave Ukraine $200 billion and got absolutely nothing to show for it but dead bodies and bombed out Ukrainian cities.

Don't compare a $20 billion exchange of USD for Argentine pesos for a $1.5 trillion waste of taxpayer dollars on extending what were temporary COVID enhanced benefits... some of which went to illegals. Fortunately the American are smart enough to see the Democrats lies and deceptions. Which is why the Democrats bent the knee to Trump on the shutdown. They knew they were in the wrong.

Reminder that Argentina has defaulted on every IMF loan in modern history. Your cult hero specifically said if Milei lost his election they would pull all funding. This was a bailout to a failing economy to help his buddy. The idea well make money off the currency swap is so hilarious. Were not braindead cultists so please stop lying

Quit making up this 1.5 trillion propoganda. Dems final offer was only for a 1 year extension which would've cost less than 40 billion. MAGATs chose Argentina over America. Sick individuals

That's a lot of assumptions, but sure, lets say it is anywhere from 0.9% to 6% (maybe those states have below average participation). The point still stands that it is not a very significant percentage, and more importantly, WalMart doesn't decide who applies for SNAP (and is given it) and who doesn't. The way the talking point used to get throw around, it was like every employee was on SNAP. If it is 1 in 100 or 1 in 20, the vast majority are not. It was a fake talking point.
Why did Democrats want to raise the cost of people's health insurance a year from now? I know you are not this stupid. The intention is to never let the subsidies go away. They think in a year they will have a stronger position in the House and Senate. Let's not pretend to be fooled by these games.

What's funny is that Argentina has been the poster-child-country for everything the anti-"socialist" GOP hates. Now, nothing really changes, and Trump is their newest best friend because of reasons.

So the Dems cave for a promise of a vote? If that was the ask, why even push for the shutdown? I must be missing something.

Democrats along with Republicans ****ed a lot of people over the last 40 days of the shut down. For the democrats to only come away with what they got as the compromise is a big ****ing punch in the gut for those that were ****ed over by this shutdown (those that supported democrats).
