Most of the team played like crap and all the individual player hating idiots come out the woodworks celebrating the crappiness of one player they don’t like
And that is exactly why Jalen Green was traded for Kevin Durant. Inconsistency. By his 4th season, Jalen Green had shown more promise than Jabari (e.g., the March 2024 heater he went on).
Maybe Jalen Green will excel in a 5 out offense. With Amen and Sengun, that wasn't going to be the Rockets. JSJ has shown he's a good role player. Green has shown he's not a star on the Rockets and he never showed he played efficiently enough nor defense well enough to be a good role player.
That seems to be demonstrably false, Jabari was the worst player on the court for the Rockets and he still has people defending him.... Reed Sheppard was arguably the most positive influence on the game for the Rockets and he still has people blaming him. If anything, we give Jabari too much of a pass for games like last night.
And you give Reed a pass every game. This is the only game Reed outplayed Jabari. Be real. Reed played great and I hope he keeps it up, but I guarantee he will have some stinkers, just like Amen, Sengun, Jabari, Kevin f^cking Durant, and Adams did last night. The only players that had decent games were Reed, Tari, and Capella. Ime is the one you should be complaining about when it comes to last night. Without the 56 second chance points, we would have won easily. Stop playing zone!
If you're just going to be a liar, productive conversation is unlikely. Reed has had a few really rough games this season... and I've said so when they happened. If you were honest you'd acknowledge that expectations are understandably different for a guy with 800 minutes of NBA experience and a guy with 6800 minutes of NBA experience. If you paid attention last night, you'd know that Ime is who I blame.... he should have benched Jabari sooner, played Capela more, and done something to reign in KD so he'd stop being a walking turnover. Ime was badly out-coached.... which happens almost always. The Rockets have been getting by on overwhelming talent but lose every game to quality opponents. None of that is an excuse for how poorly Jabari played.... and WHY he played so poorly. Just having an off night is one thing, but lack of effort and self sabotage is another.
I don't know why but Jabari never plays well against Kelvin Johnson. Everything says he's better than Johnson but for some unknown reason Johnson out plays him EVERY TIME
Bari plays like he’s terrified the moment pressure hits. It’s been the same story since he got drafted. Any time someone actually goes at him, his flaws stick out like a sore thumb.
Every year we are duped into believing there is some kind of micro leap from Jabari but every year at the end of the season we got hurt by him the same way the fake JG games hurt us
Kid ****ing sucks. I can't believe peolpe out here believed we got him at a discount. There's a 10th man somewhere who doesn't get playing time who can do what Jabari does but he wasn't drafted 3rd to have all these opportunities. You would be hard pressed to find 5 guys(under the age of 30) who are less athletic than Jabari in this league.
