Jesus. I showed up here to grouse, but the bedwetting is out of control. We have a really good team. We'll figure this out.
Because he makes poor decisions off the double team. Poor iq Comparing him to Jalen is stupid though.
Not bringing effort against a bottom feeder is annoying but happens… not bringing it against the Spurs? Can lead to people questioning the team’s competitiveness. It’s one game early in the season but I agree with what Udoka said…. Being called soft is never a compliment, but being called soft by Udoka is a huge insult because Ime can’t stand soft players.
Saw the highlights. Spurs appeared to shoot the lights out. They were hitting almost everything from long range. KD looked good (didn't show the turnovers). "Shotgun" looked good, and Amen did too. Reed was ballin. In sum, the Spurs played better. Is that a fair analysis?
Reed: "It was frustrating not getting the win. But it was good seeing some shots fall. We have to stick together as team, box out. We will. Basketball is a lot easier when you don't think. We have to find different ways to get him(Durant) the ball. Maybe some screens. Getting him the ball is the hard part. "
In the Pistons game, we got outworked in the air. Spurs did the same thing tonight, plus they added ferocious pressure on the ball, in a game where lots of physicality was allowed. Obviously we handed it badly. The rebounding debacle tonight was mostly hustle. We can fix that. We won't be riding a win streak in our next game, so that'll help. Bigger problem is how to handle the ball pressure. It looks to me like Ime is experimenting with the no-PG lineup, and the Spurs just refuted KD as PG. It was ugly, but there are other experiments to try. Be patient.
A lot of the team's weaknesses were exposed tonight: - KD can't handle physicality and pressure. He's defense and rebounding is average and can even be bad - Amen and Alpi really can't shoot. - Amen isn't a real point guard and is very limited offensively - Jabari is still inconsistent offensively and defensively - We need a true point guard
"Even our supposed defenders" Damn. Lol. Rockets really thought the possession was over when Wemby gave up the ball.
I think sometimes they try too hard to get KD the ball if anything though...like they'll spend a good 6-7 seconds trying to force feed him.
Would be more of an insult if it wasn't Ime's go to move in post game interviews. Is Ime ever on record as stating something he did contributed to a loss?
You know DFS and Fred would have made a huge difference as well. Probably more than they're missing two, so it' a wash. It was the 20 plus second chance points that killed the Rockets and turnovers. Spurs basically won with hustle points and toughness. There is no way that they can duplicate the amount of second chance points from today in another again this year.
Just a reminder that the Spurs had lost 2 games in a row. They were not going to lose today, especially at home. The Rockets got outplayed by a hungrier Spurs team.
Screens for sure. Asking Durant or Sengun to just out physical guys and shoot over the top is not a strategy. We've got to find ball and player movement or you won't beat the Spurs.
Agreed, we will figure it out. They came to play, we just need to know these types of games are coming. It was good to have our team exposed to this. Great game by Reed! (That’s my only thing I’m going to find excitement in)
Adam Silver is a scumbag. All the betting scandals aside, the rigging of the Wemby draft for San Antonio was so predictable. Everyone saw it coming from a mile away.
