He didn't win because he is a Democratic-Socialist, and he did not get support from young people because of it. He won because he was willing to break the status quo, he was optimistic, charismatic and admitted there are problems and he did not unnecessarily lie or attack people. Something like 85% of women under 35 years old voted for him. It isn't a surprise, women are more empathetic than men and we are in a hyper masculine political period --- it is a backlash.
Young women, people new to NYC and America, and people with immigrants living with them is what propelled Mamdani to the victory. These are not voters with significant life experience who understand what it takes to build a great society. They simply do not understand the greatness of Western civilization. GOOD DAY
