We actually match up really well against the Spurs. We have length with Jabari + KD to help out against Wemby. Offensively they have no match for Sengun in the paint. Amen will be able to force their guards in to tough shots. Rockets win by 12.
Good test for both teams. The Spurs will be missing a few players, so that definitely helps the Rockets. KD looked pissed on the bench at the end of the Grizzlies game. I imagine he wasn't too happy with his last two performances and will be looking to bounce back.
I actually genuinely think the Wemby/Sengun rivalry could become one for the ages. Very different players of course, put I think that adds to it. Sengun's the slightly undersized, supremely skilled playmaker and scorer with quick hands on defense and great rebounding who even now gets underrated by the media. Wemby's the genetic freak and defensive monster with a less refined offensive game with the media machine behind him. Could make for a compelling period of ball with us being in-state rivals as well. Sports is always better with a good story and real emotion behind the matchups.
This is going to be an @sskicking. Sengun is going to destroy Wemby again down low, while the rest of our guys get wide open looks and throw downs. I see the Spurs having a hard time scoring as long as we're locked in.
Another easy win for the Rockets if Josh Okogie plays significant minutes. Also, I hope Sengun drops 45 on Wenbanyama again.
