He’s gotta get that shooting stroke back. That’s really about the only big compliant right now. He’s a monster with everything else
That play when he drew two defenders in the middle, he saw Amen at the left dunker spot. He didn't pass immediately. He spun to the right side, pulling the defenders with him and hit Amen wide open under the basket. You can see that's mature play making.
There's no need to mention JJJ when discussing Alpi's rebounding, particularly when he wasn't even trying like tonight. Alpi is a very good rebounder, especially when you consider he's surrounded by several guys on his own team that crash the boards. On a different team, Alpi would probably average 11-12 boards per game. Just having Steven Adams playing 20+ mpg puts a dent in Alpi's rebound average.
They're focusing on it because you specifically said that getting 16 rebounds against JJJ is insane LOL this isn't rocket science dude..
I think he should take 4 attempts a game. 2 attempts is too low of a sample size to get confidence in his 3 pointer. There were several times in the game when he hesitated on taking an open 3 and drove inside instead.
No they are focusing on that because they are haters. If youre not a hater you would say "JJ cant reabound but 16 rebounds is insane" instead they are acting like 16 rebounds means nothing. Anyways I was more talking about the defense and physicality and Sengun still getting rebounds but whatever I dont really care what you guys think 16 rebounds is amazing.
He is doing great - we are the best offense in the league and 5th defense. And we are playing team ball....gonna be a GREAT year. DD
He is doing great, and he can do even better once he gets comfortable with taking and making more 3's.
as long as it's in the flow of the offence, he's not forcing it, and no one else has a better shot just have be careful he doesn't get too dependent on it https://www.nba.com/stats/players/traditional?CF=PTS*GE*20:AST*GE*3&Height=GT 6-7&dir=A&sort=FG3A
I'm stoked that 20 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block is considered less than average. Those are superstar expectations and I'm here for it. Franchise player ya'll, the real head honcho.
Seriously. Sengun is averaging 22/10/7 at the moment. Here's who averaged that or better last season:
