The Texans need to trade for 2 elite offensive linemen. I think they should give up some first round picks if they don’t want to waste this season and beyond.
Two elite offensive lineman? That’s like asking for a unicorn. It's not even close to realistic. This season is already wasted unfortunately.
This season is over. Trading picks for olinemen would be a mistake. Especially if you let Caserio pick them.
Any team willing to give up a decent OL will be a tanking team and would want a haul for their rebuild. I don't think it's worth it IF someone decent is even available. I say we get our young guys experience (Marks, Higgins, Noel...) and make OL improvements in the off season. I'm for trading some of our redundant veteran players for draft assets though (Kirk, Berrios...) .
I'm thinking the opposite. Trade some pieces for next year's draft. Right now we're looking at an 8-9 season (at best) and so let's start making moves for next season and beyond.
They're the Jets so they will absolutely somehow find a way to screw this up, but they had a great trade deadline.
You cant get anything for Mixon. Patterson wont get you more than a 7th rd pick at best. I wanted Caserio to trade for Jackson Powers Johnson because I see him as a long term fit, and still trade off Hunter and Howard. They would have a lot of value, particularly to a team like the Chargers whose OL is beatup. Or team that needs a premium pass rusher could use a guy like Hunter. You probably could get a pair of 3rds or maybe a 2nd and a 3rd for those guys. Want to do a mini rebuild, you would have a 1st/three 2nds/two thirds and two 4ths in the 2026 draft. That's 5 possibly after trading up 6 top 100 picks.
I guess they couldn't trade or were just too dumb and decided not to trade Dameon Pierce, Christian Harris, and Darrell Taylor who have been healthy scratches all season and will be free agents.
I think our only real problem on the field is the O line. I think we have everything else. But if the O line is weak, the whole offense suffers. As well as the team. We have an elite championship level defense and I don’t want to waste the season when there is still a chance. Call me optimistic and I’ll call you hopeless. Deal? Deal.
Nobody wanted these guys. Although I would've thought they vould've gotten 6-7th rd picks for Harris and Taylor.

We arguably need a tackle, center, and guard. A high-quality RB would also help. We need a better LB than TooToo. But you're right; we're not far off. I just don't trust Caserio to find the missing pieces, let alone a quality OC. But, here I am, a glutton for punishment with endless hope.
The colts were morons. They are one Daniel Jones turning into a pumpkin away from a top 5 pick in 2027.
I disagree. Their trade was good. I agree on Jones but guys like Sauce don't become available. Would you take that for Stingley?
