No, they would be 5-0 if Reed started, or Okogie started...they would have been blown out by OKC, and probably still lost to Detroit with FVV. FVV paid his dues, did his job give him a gold watch and set him free. DD
Missing alot of shots does not make offensive rebound rate go up. We have the 5th best FG % in the league Also, the thread title specfically orders you to be positive. Your comment is negative. Everyone should report you for this blatant disrespect of the rules.
Tari Eason's defense looks a little off as it appears he's trying to play a more sound defense. However, he's still making a huge impact on the defensive end while playing a lot with Reed. Looks like this is going to be a great year defensively for Tari as I expect he will get his disruption mojo back. He's hitting threes and he's finishing at the rim (looks healthy right now). Really putting in a solid offensive year. Needs more time with the starters as the chemistry just isn't there. He still hit his shots with the starters (kept the Rockets afloat with some clutch shots), but was not involved much in the action yesterday. While the starting lineup's offense has been better, lineups with Tari have been doing very well, even with less talent around Tari.
I think the contract negotiations probably threw Tari off at the beginning of the season and then he began to lockin and focus on what he does well. His shooting has been a pleasant surprise and he's doing a good job of fitting into the offensive flow.
The thing I am loving the most so far is that we are only scratching the surface. How good this team already is, and how good it can still become is scary. Even the miscues and mistakes look minor and easy to correct with a little time and energy. The original young guns (Alpi, Jabari, Amen, Tari) are all growing into their man bodies and it looks like all have taken a significant leap forward. Friday's game against San Antonio will be a good test but so far I'd say they look like they have all the makings of a championship team. Just need time to iron out the kinks and open up the throttle.
Rockets have a team worth watching - every game. Whether they win a Championship or not, the guys on this team are all equally talented, respectable and likeable. That makes this season a win in my book.
Capela starting to shake off the rust and he looked great tonight. Reed a very solid game and shot great. Jabari shot great and played great D Amen stellar Tari continued his great 3p shooting and overall play And another 40%+ 3p% game for the team
Amen had a great game. Everybody else played solid. I am starting to believe that Jabari's solid improvement is here to stay, not a fluke.
Great thread OP. Amen and Reed are developing fast at PG. I'm certain this will result in us catching fire for the final 41 games. Durant and Sengun are the best PF/C duo in the NBA. They will deliver almost 50ppg on a nightly basis along with 10 assists. I'm SO comfortable with Durant/Amen/Sengun carrying our offense against SGA/Williams/Holmgren. I'm so comfortable exchanging clutch shot for clutch shot between Durant (guarded by Williams) and SGA (guarded by Amen) in the playoffs. Jokic is looking chubby this season while Sengun is looking fitter than ever. I don't know if Jokic is capable of containing Sengun anymore - the gap may have shrunk. Excited to see their next matchup. The title is ours if things break right as they do for all champions (i.e. some decent luck). This team is special.
