I've been through David Carr sacaton, The Rosencopter, Matt Schaub pick 6 bangers, Osweiler fumble pass, Watson dick rub mania. Texans can't catch a break when it comes QB but Arch Manning could be the guy that finally takes them over the hump. He is poised and can already read defense on an NFL level he also has a great arm. He can be the face of the franchise.
I guess you havent watched many Longhorn games this year? LOL. While Arch has played better the last 5 Quarters, he has been a **** show most of the year and is NOT coming out this year.

Bad take, the offense is coming along, Stroud was warming up to have a solid game before he got hurt, by what I've seen in the last couple weeks, good decisions, quick throws, getting himself out of danger, the yips are gone. Its not his fault he got knocked out, him missing a game puts us at 5 losses, technically we can lose 7 games and still make the playoffs, colts lost this week and we got a rematch with the jags next week, there's still hope
CJ was actually moving the O before he got hurt, I think he is catching on to the death by a thousand cuts, even though I think the philosophy is trash.........you have to be a tad mobile in this version, and Mills is NOT mobile in any way. If not CJ, who would you want? I`ll take CJ but give me a competent OC and O Line and I`ll take my chances. I fear this season is over and well just do enough to screw us out of a top 10 pick..................Hey Nick, FIX the GD O Line, they suck and we all knew it and you did ZERO to address is other than to give $12 million to a washed-up LT that you then cut in week 3, you pick some great talent, just not on the O Line, you suck at that Nick and the OC need to be gone one second after the season ends
CJ has looked fantastic when he has a time to operate in the pocket. The solution to all the problems the offense has had is to build an offensive line that can protect the QB. The Texans need to go all in on the offensive line this offseason. Do whatever it takes, whether through the draft, free agency, or trades. But, the time has come to fix this once and for all.
I thought yesterday would put to rest a lot of Mills being better than Stroud AND Stroud is not the guy talk but here we are! The Texans problems derive from Demeco and Caserio; 1) No compétent OC - 1st and Goal ran the same play 2) No legit OC and/or C to move the pocket 3) No legit DT to apply pressure - 1 SACK?? 4) No Tank Dell and Mixon - lack of playmaking
Mills coming in without reps isn’t a true test. He hasn’t had the same opportunities as CJ in terms of talent around him. But that has nothing to do with CJ being the guy or not. We have to see if he is truly a top 10 guy or not before we have to pay him. He’s shown flashes in both ways.
CJ has shown to be a top ten guy when he has time to throw the ball. He’s a pocket passer that needs a stable pocket to perform well. He will never be a guy that dances around the field to make plays. But, even more mobile QB’s need some degree of protection to perform their best. I’m not in favor of starting over from square one in search of a QB. We have a guy that does well when protected by a competent offensive line. I would rather focus on the offensive line instead of blowing everything up.
