Maybe Juwan gets .4 assists per game because the officials know he's helping kids read-2-achieve.

Only 3 cheap shots allowed. Triple yawn.

As bad as MoT is on defense, Howard is worse. They dude just doesn't hustle on D. He doesn't even bother getting in the way.

yea, i agree with that. Howard also offers leadership off the bench to the second unit something that motay wasn't great at providing.

Even before last nights breakout game for Howard,I liked Mo coming off the bench. Being the 6th man, he wouldn't have to play defense on many of the elite PFs from other teams. He's too soft and is too short. Not saying that Howard is all-world defense, but he's definitely a upgrade defensively over Mo. In addition, Mo is more of a isolation type of scorer. Coming off the bench he would be able to do his thing and not take too many shots away from McGrady or Yao. Mo coming off the bench worked OK last year. Of course the downside of starting Juwan is that he doesn't have the range that Mo does. However,he can knock down the 10-12 shot on a consistent basis. He definitely is more of a threat than last years PF,Cato and we did OK w/that lineup.I think the Pros outweigh the Cons.

One thing that has annoyed about Juwan are his turnovers. A few times last night, he threw the ball in the post when there were 2 players on him. No excuse for a veteran.

I meant when Howard was throwing the ball into Yao.

Mo's played better than Howard so far this season. Howard's put up some points, but his shooting percentage hasn't impressed me. Last game (vs. Memphis) he made some shots, but he also made them harder than they shoulda been. Freaking banking in hooks instead of driving for layups. Using all of the rim on a close shot instead of dunking. He was lucky those shots were falling.

It looks like JVG will keep the hotter player on the court, but overall, Mo's looked like the better player of the 2. To me anyway.

I kind of like having the 12 fouls between them to throw at all the superstar power forwards we have to play against every other game. I wouldn't trade either since they're both adequate on offense/defense and we're not gonna be able to get our own superstar PF anyways. And who starts doesn't really matter all that much. Who finishes in the 4th really doesn't matter either since one of them usually ends up fouling out before the other anyways ;)

Juwan could be the next Nelson Mandella, but he still sucks on the court. I only comment on his crap game not his personal life.
So thanks for the article. I hear you blasting Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror"
