This dude is getting exposed more and more as a fraud as time goes on.

Every player that's played with him goes on about how he has repeatedly lied and ****ed them over, and their agents advise them to forego any team he's on because of that reputation. Paul, then Harden, and recently it was Marcus Morris talking about how he's untrustworthy and started using AI to make team decisions lmao

Glad he rode harden's coattails as long as he did and got a payday

Yeah, that is the one weakness about Morey and we all knew it.....the human component and connection to players.

Treat them like he treats his daughter and all would be well.

I don't like these sensational videos made by casual NBA fans, but as the folks that saw morey for a decade and a half its spot on. Plus inlcudes testimonials...Morey was a far bigger piece of **** than we thought it really wasn't all* Les.

Make no mistake, if he was here Ime would not be in and he would be using his new AI model to dictate our play. The only thing that doesn't make sense is how this dumbass paid PG 200mil

The only thing Les Alexander limited Morey was the refusal to tank. Other than that, Morey had all the freedom to do his GM job in Houston.

Some of his fans thought he was like god without flaws. But he clearly had his blind spots. The most obvious is his lack of understanding of the human factors in basketball. He seemed to think as long as you could collect enough talent, you would win. He didn't understand chemistry. He continued to underestimate the importance of character, mindset, and intelligence in players.

He's a below average drafter. My theory is that college and Euroleague data just don't have enough sample sizes to be reliable. And Morey didn't have the ability to evaluate talent without good data. I think he knew it and therefore he did not value draft picks. He used them simply as trade assets, not for getting young talent for team building.

These weaknesses were there to see objectively. But he got a pass mostly because he lucked into Harden. Without getting Harden, he would probably be remembered much lower as a GM in his Houston tenure.

Long time bump but since I've just seen this thread.

You say refusal to tank like it's some throw away line.

When if you're not the Lakers, it's literally the only lifeline you have to restart.

Unless you strike gold with a once in a lifetime trade like.... Morey pulled off for Harden.

Daryl & James have to patch up the great rift, trade Paul George & a first for Harden & sign PJ Tucker -

    Maxey
    Edgecombe
    Mccain
    Harden
    Tucker

Embiid - 6th man, 1986 Celtics Bill Walton

AI will not solve the human portion, DM as much as I like him, has always lacked that human connection and understanding about chemistry.....something Rudy T had in spades.

Or both Morey and Harden should just gracefully retire and hand over the reins to the next generation.
