One more point on the "DEMOCRATS SHOULD MODERATE" false cure that's been peddled a lot lately

Why is it that the most centrist Democrat - in purple states - that are most likely to make common cause with the Trump regime & throw away Democratic values by throwing their most vulnerable voters under the bus,

    - Fetterman
    & before him
    - Sinema

Are also incredibly unpopular especially in their home states ? If moving to the right to comptomse with a fascist is good politics, why is it that those who do it see their political careers end after doing it because they have no constituency?

Instead they end up like Sinema, Green party candidate who now shills for Crypto cash & data centers

Meanwhile Bernie is still going strong. Even Gavin Newsome realizes at times this way lies danger. JD pritzker is a Resistance Billionaire who consistently pivots left

Sinema was an incredibly weird case. She clearly didn't care about running for reelection or representing her state and Gallego is a good replacement.

I don't get what Fetterman is doing, but he's probably trying to stay alive in a state that just voted for Trump and voted out Bob Casey.

I think the "moderate" crowd is less about moderation for the sake of moderation and more about giving the party a chance to win in places it hasn't been competitive in for a decade. For as much of a pain as he was, I'd certainly prefer Joe Manchin be in the Senate instead of Jim Justice.

With the Trumpers I know almost all of them are basically just blanket blaming Congress in general which is telling. I think the house being on vacation this whole time was a poor political strategy by MAGA Mike.

I do think though that Schumer and Jeffries need to pull a stunt though that can go viral to show they are dying to negotiate but it’s Trump who doesn’t want to even talk. Like find a way to sleep outside the White House or something.

Do something ridiculous like that. Cause the msnbc hits aren’t going to get through. A very small portion of the electorate will see that so you need to go viral with a stunt to break through that to you are trying while the other guy is off in Asia grandstanding and talking about his stupid ballroom.

I think the House Democrats should show up, elect a speaker, start voting on legislations like Universal Healthcare - Unanimous, Term limits - Unanimous, Raise Minimum wage - Unanimous, release the Epstein files - Unanimous....etc...etc..raise taxes to the RICH only - unanimous .....

Use this time to REALLY show their platform - and yes, it will be theater, but have them in the building working FOR the American people....let them show that the GOP is the problem.

If Fettermsn is trying this as an electoral tactic he is failing miserably! Just like Sinema before him he is under water with voters & donors - he is basically done.

Here's the thing about compromising with an unpopular fascist regime - Nobody votes for it!

The regime supporters won't vote for you. The opposition is betrayed by you. The only people who like it are pundits & strategists who are in many cases funded by rich plutocrats who capitulated to the Regime

Not like it matters bc WV is a maga brainwashed red state, but I doubt Manichins fortunes were improved at all by his bullshit - his main constituency was the DC press, that guy loved the cameras and the Sunday shows, it wasn't bc people in Wheeling were big fans of the filibuster

Democrats couldn't win at the ballot box, so they are holding the government hostage for an unpopular issue (extending COVID era enhanced subsidies which were always intended to expire). This is why Trump's poll numbers have INCREASED during the shutdown. Voters know that Republicans have voted 10 times on a clean bill to open the government. But Democrats have voted no each and every time.

Now the SNAP benefits are poised to expire, leaving many Democrat voters without their handouts. I expect movement soon.

    GOOD DAY

This is having some very real and unfortunate consequences for a few of my clients right now. Including one that is being acquired by a group overseas for a significant sum. Feels a little less than great….again.

    Congresswoman Andrea Salinas
    ‪@salinas.house.gov‬

Mike Johnson had the f*cking nerve to say that Democrats were not in D.C. today to do the work of the American people. Seriously?? The only reason Rs are in town is to go to a f*cking WH Halloween party. They are telling the American people, "Let them eat candy." For tomorrow, there will be nothing.

Let it not get lost in the shuffle what a puny little b**** Mike John's is.

The greater context here - he is not only derelict in his duties to have the house in session to end the Trump Shutdown (bc the house failed to pass a budget)

He is keeping Congress out of session to avoid a release vote on....yep, you guessed it, the Epstein Files

People are going to starve and go hungry and probably die - children, the disabled etc - because the President is buddies with a notorious pedophile, and it's embarrassing to him to have to discuss it.

The truth is that the majority of MEDICAID and MEDICARE benefits and government assistance goes to rural communities predominantly in red states. They are eating their own to support the billionaire and his fellow billionaires who could care less if they lose those benefits, and Trump is happy with the power to pour it all into purposes that serve him best personally.

Imagine controlling all 3 branches of government, and still can't get the government up and running. Most incompetent president of all time.
