Sounds like Durant is getting what he was expecting alongside Alpi and Amen.

I just like the fact that KD replies to everything he can get to. He’s a basketball guy through-and-through

    Postgame observations:

KD: “Walking bucket” doesn’t begin to describe him. Can you really believe he is on our team??? Oh man!

Alpi: Very, very smart game from him. He impressed me as much tonight as with 39 points against OKC. Raptors put the vice grip on him most of the time and he reacted by NOT forcing bad shots, finding the open man and taking good care of the ball. As a result, success fell on…

Jabari: When teams sell out to stop the two scorers, he must make hay instead of disappearing. He will have plenty of opportunities to shred opponents early in games and must be ready just like tonight. He didn't have a single TO on 16 FGAs because he didn't dribble into traffic. Good work!

Amen: Something wasn’t quite right with Amen. He didn’t look injured, but didn’t look like himself in the 1st half to me. It was more than just playing point and struggling at times..

    Okogie: Enough has been said.

Tari: Very productive and did a lot of good things but the 5 TOs kind of ruined everything.

Steven Adams: 8 O-rebs. He simply destroys teams that don’t account for him.

Reed: Bad shooting game. Was OK in other aspects.

Capela: The only player with a negative +/- (-9 in an 18-point win). Ouch! He’s playable only because they need to keep his old bones warm.

The Defense: RIP to the defensive identity the Rockets cultivated the previous two seasons. The instincts, the effort, the "want to" is history. They were shamefully complacent. They wanted the Raptors to jack up shots so they could run back the other way and play offense. Having to call a timeout because nobody was there to receive an inbounds pass was a new low. So, it's back to the drawing board. Whatever they evolve into during the season will be something totally from scratch. It’s gonna take quite some time for things to come together; hopefully by January.

The Offense: Still an early work in progress but it’s way ahead of the defense. What I see so far is KD and Alpi might be starting to find their way, which is the most important thing. In particular, they are learning to play off each other. Adams is what he is and even better than last year. Jabari and Tari seem to be next closest, maybe Okogie is right behind them. Amen is putting up Amen stats but something isn’t quite right, but I'm not worried about it. Reed remains mystery meat but there is no doubt he's better than last year and can improve a lot.

I mean the Udoker is an offensive genius. He said to Stone months ago have KD have offense.

Yeah. If we had a pg we would have scored 160 instead of 139.

Great statement win. I know Raps have been bad but BI and Barnes were having career games. The Raptors took 40 threes, made 50% of them but the Rox still decimated them leading by 18 pts.

Rockets now have the best offense in the league by offensive rating. Everybody saying we miss Fred, we need a pg....bro look at the Rockets offensive rating before you say we need a pg ok?

Rockets are figuring things out and developing chemistry. Unfortunately we dont have DB and his "mood maker" buff anymore but Rox are still building up the vibes little by little. KD is not a leader but he is a good mentor, he always dapping up the young guys when they do a good play and giving them advice during stoppages (I see them talking on the court). He is no longer prime KD but seeing him work hard on chasing guys, going for rebs and playing hard defense has got to motivate our team.

The keys to winning for the Rockets are 3 pt shooting and rebounding. If they shoot a high amount of 3 pt and make them at a good percentage and dominate the boards nobody can beat them.

… then it’s too many bigs. One way or another we can’t contain dribble penetration with man. It’s a huge deal losing Fred and Dillon; J. Green was also good man defender when he cared, in fact he was great with his foot speed.

I will be concerned if Ime keeps running KD out there for 40 mins. Every win counts, but we are going to have to spread the love a lot more this year if we are going to compete in the playoffs. If we lose a few more games early on to get to a 10 deep rotation it will be worth it later in the year. Our offense can attack in so many different ways once they get used to each other. We are 1 of the best offenses in the league and haven’t established any chemistry yet. This is just is going to require a little patience from the head coach and then this very deep team is gong to dominate.

This is hilarious. So his solution is to go 2-3 when they are running pick n rolls and cuts which allowed them open 3s AND PENETRATION LMAO. It's so stupid. If you notice even with the bigs we start winning when we're not in zone. The Raps coach LOVED that we went zone, they literally reported on him saying they were winning because of it when they had the lead lol. Any idiot should have seen this by now. Im disapointed in Ime this season. I know I called KD a coach killer but this aint on KD. He's been doing some stupid ****.

To be fair KD is only playing 36 mins which is around what you want your superstar to get

I think he meant it more towards the direction of a heart attack.

As for my ratings this game:

KD, Sengun: S+ Bari, Tari, Adams, Godkogie: A
I am so happy Tari stopped sulking. He'll get his money...though not as much as if he accepted the Rox last offer, that was a fumble imo.

Everyone here played at a high level and what we expect of a champion team. Sengun and KD superstars nuff said. Adams is a special talent, Jatari is rising and Godkogie has been the difference maker and produced every time he is on the court.

    Amen: B+
He put up great stats and played 40 mins but was clearly dealing with something. I am not sure what it was but dude was NOT LOCKED IN. Still put up 18/9/7/2 on great percentages though which speaks of how much talent this kid has.

    Reed: C-
Reed was bad and continues to be bad vs not GLeague level opponents. Bad defense, missed all but 2 of his shots, had just 1 ast in 18 mins but you can see posts of his fans posting a clip of that 1 highlight with titles like "Reed putting a new wrinkle in his game" Ok dude.

2 things I liked about Reed this game though 3 fta which is more than what he had the past 3 games combined and getting 5 rebs. 5 rebs is quite a lot and 1 of those was an offensive reb basically got us another possession. Thats why I am not taking a dump on him on this game unlike

    Crapela: D

Is Crapela washed? Dude is chopped frfr. I know he has decent nos 4 pts 3 rebs in just 6 mins but how can you be the only one with negative plus minus out of everyone who played? And negative 9 at that?!? Dude is either out of shape, injured or lost all his basketball skills except dunking.

Moving forward I want Udoka to expand the rotation, have JD, Holiday and even Unc Jeff see play time. For example the way Crapela was playing, Id be ok we have Unc Jeff there or maybe see if Holiday or JD had the hot hand since Reed was bricking. I see in game rotations still a problem for Udoka like when he iced Jabari when the dude was starting to cook.

Overall though, the team is figuring it out and momentum is on the rise. Very encouraged from what I have seen and we are poised to have a great season ahead.

Amen doesn't get the credit he deserves for unlocking the offense. As soon as we get DFS back it's over.

They need someone to score besides Booker. They stretch waived Beal because their owner wanted to get under the 2nd apron after the same owner destroyed their present and their future to acquire KD and Beal. Then Jalen is hurt. The rest of their usable rotation is 3 and D or non-spacing bigs.

Dillon is their 2nd-best offensive creator when Jalen is out. I'm glad I'm not a Phoenix fan. That roster is depressing.
