no party in the history of warfare that is attacked has been held to a "proportional response" standard, until Israel

if someone attacks you, you eliminate the threat

Don’t pretend we didn’t just live through a period of 20+ years of warfare by our armed forces. When one of our soldiers died because of an IED we didn’t respond by bombing Baghdad or Kabul into rubble.

What I think is that Bibi is a corrupt scumbag that wants to erase all the Palestinians - and I think that HAMAS wants to erase all of the Jews in Israel and that in the current environment that there was not going to be peace. I also think that the USA should stay out of it and stop sending money to Israel.

Limiting your actions in war to only returning fire when fired upon is a r****ded response, it allows the enemy to choose the time, place, and circumstance of every engagement.
5,000 or so Americans were killed on 9/11. We responded with a war that killed (directly) just shy of 1,000,000. 1,200 Israelis were killed on 10/7. They responded with a war that killed (directly) around 60,000. Seems like they have been far less aggressive than the United States in prosecuting their war on terror. Their response was about 50 to 1, while ours was about 200 to 1.

We did not directly kill a million people.

In Afghanistan, 46,000 civilians died due to the war over 20 years. This was not because we were bombing their houses.
In Iraq, 200,000 civilians died but Iraq also had the ISIS fight.

The Israeli rules of engagement are most similar to Russia’s, not the United States.

We would’ve won Vietnam if we had just bombed them harder.

From your own link, the total direct deaths from the GWOT were 930,000. That is a million, give or take. I don't know why you would limit the numbers to only civilians and only in two countries.

For an alleged libertarian you sure care about other countries more than the one you live in.
