He was lazy and not always active or engaged on the defensive end.

A few of his coaches were not fans - I remember Mike Dunleavy calling him a bad defender to his face and Nelson coached him at one point and said he was a "whatever guy" on that end of the court.

Corey Magette was one of the first players to not get the seal of approval from Coach K when he turned pro, along with William Avery.

Eventually Magette was just accepted as a guy that drew fouls on offense, went to the line, scored and could get rebounds but was not a passer and distracted on defense for most of his career. Guy got a lot of **** but played a long time.

Just for fun, go to "Advanced Search" and look for the keyword "Magette" and specify DaDakota as the poster. Pages of posts lobbying for us to acquire Magette. He was his go-to guy for several years. It didn't matter what the problem was, the solution was Magette.

More recently it was Kevin Porter Jr. He definitely has a type.

I am sure they are insider joking, I am citing an official Injury report lol not my Injury reporting friends.

Ryan Rollins played instead of him and they beat the Knicks. Simple as that.

25 and 4 and shot perfect from 3.

Can Whitmore again getting very little burn tonight vs Philly - 13 min. Provided 9 pts, 2 stls and nothing else.

I think they are already tired of him over there.

He's already demonstrated that he's only a bench scorer for the league's worst roster. He might someday be willing to try on defense and contribute to ball movement on offense. Right now, he doesn't do either and his career trajectory is depressing.

Great athleticism but no interest in playing winning basketball.

9 points in 13 minutes is 26 points and 5 steals in 34 minutes if he was a starter. Wouldn’t exactly call that a disaster. He’s literally almost a point a minute. Typically he adds a few rebounds and assists too. this is a bit of an overreaction for 13 minutes.

Yes, he’s been a disaster. There’s more to basketball than just scoring. If you’re scoring by ignoring your teammates and getting burned on defense, that is pretty much the definition of a net negative player.

The argument isn't the ability to score. Everyone knows he has that. It's the defense (steals only constitute a small part of defense), rebounding and passing that is the issue. If the ball hits your hands and the play ends because you decide hey, I'm gonna score here even though I should be passing that breaks down the offense. If you can't be trusted to run the play, you're not going to play. That's what we are seeing here.

Its sad..he has all the tools, but limited brain capacity...I would pay all the money hes making into getting a life coach..start fresh, learning basic things on whats important in life, what makes him better as a human being..maybe then it will click
