There isn’t any. That’s why they’re not on an NBA team also lol. If Cam was smart and kept a positive attitude with us instead of sulking and b****ing and moaning publicly, he would probably be starting right now next to Amen. That’s all on him

Same could be said of Kobe Bryant but Phil Jackson knew how to be patient and nurture special talent.....Ime - cuts em loose.

Who’s the immature grown man in here b****ing everyday in every one of his posts that the coach is incompetent for holding back Cam, that Stone should be fired for trading him?

Man, it must suck to have the DD fandom curse on you. It's a career killer. Even in Washington he is in the dog house.

Kobe Bryant made his first all star game under Del Harris at age 19. Cam Whitmore has more in common with Kobe Bufkin than Bryant at this stage.

You keep saying this. You know PJax didn’t take over until Kobe’s 4th season. He was already an All-Star and All-NBA by then. I don’t get your point.

And besides, Kobe was Jerry West’s boy. You did what West said wrt Kobe’s development, in the early years. West was extremely positive all through. Maybe you meant to compare’s West’s “patience” and “nurturing” to Stone?

Side note: Kobe's first coach was a licensed psychologist by training and an NBA coach of the year who had the authority to not start Kobe for as long as it took for him to learn winning basketball. Doesn't get much better than that. Even when Kobe started, it was for an absolute loaded and deep team that could have succeeded with any role player at SG.

Kobe was in excellent hands from day 1. I'm not saying that would have helped Cam, but it's true Kobe got very lucky in his development. Had he been allowed to chuck for a losing team for two years, imo his career would end up looking at least slightly different.

The issue with Cam is he doesn't seem to have any internal motivation to improve, he's the same exact player he was when he came in and hadn't worked hard enough on his game before that.

He is a good dad. Kid goes to a good university with an excellent academic major. Was a good youth soccer player that could have played in college if he wanted.

Which mirrors what my son is doing as well as a sophomore in HS. And in my opinion I’m a pretty decent dad myself.

If Whitmore is in the doghouse on a different team how can anyone still blame Ime and Stone? It shows they were right.

Lol at comparing Cam Whitmore to Kobe Bryant. What an absurd statement. Came from DD so it's about as ridiculous as anything.

I chuckled, but at the same time, cried. I had so much hope for Cam. Still do, but ... *sigh* :

He is not in the dog house, they just view him what people should have viewed him.....as some 20th pick of the Draft. (+ not really coachable)

He doesn't defend or move well.......and putting 20 pounds on an already 235 body was not a good call IMHO makes him look even slower.

That being said, if he can still get buckets, he'd still get a bench job in the NBA.

There were tons of talented players that didn't make it to the NBA and also those failed that couldn't put it all together mentally.

This is the reality of it. He's just a guy until proven otherwise.

Yeah he can score but he doesn't really give you anything else. Anyone can score too. Hell, Holiday can have hot shooting nights.

You just need multiple dimensions to you in this league to stay in it for the long term.

Yes, if people with higher motors and IQs had his physical talent.....the NBA would be better for it.

It will always be that way, those with the highest motors might be limited physically.

Here and there both work out.

I do not think Cristiano Ronaldo was the smartest player and also pretty arrogant but he worked tirelessly on his body and skills 24/7.

I watched him tonight....he is the exact same player he was when he was here. Extreme tunnel vision, extreme ball stopper, turnover prone...so whatever plays he makes 1v1 are outweighed by all the other negative things he does. He isn't even closing or playing that many minutes for Washington...He's a hard guy to justify keeping on the court if the coach is taking the game seriously.

Cam just doesn’t have it, neither the mindset nor the talent. He’s exactly where he belongs now: with the Wizards. He’s the final remnant of that so called young Rockets legends, alongside Garuba, Christopher, and KMJ.
