Susan Collins will probably beat him.

Very winnable seat for the Democrats but they are shooting themselves in the foot going with Platner.

 

I bet the Republicans would like this. She is unelectable. She is just not a good candidate.

I’ve noticed that the DNC will go much harder against Dems they don’t like or want to push to the side (Mamdani, Platner, Biden after the debate, etc) than any republican

 

The DNC didnt make him get a nazi tattoo. If the DNC had this sort of opposition research you dont think the Republicans have the same? Of course they do which is why the DNC should release all the research during the primary.

You dont want to run for national office and then b**** and cry when the skeletons come out of the closet. If you dont want people in your business then don't run for office. Period

the DNC can go hard after someone when they want to, they for the most part just choose to do so against other Dems and then all that energy goes poof and is nowhere to be seen against republicans…all of the sudden they have no fight

 

It certainly seems that way often enough. Heck, I remember voting for George McGovern in 1972. I was standing in line with a close relative, a longtime Democrat (I was an independent at the time) and arguing with him while we slowly moved along to the voting booths. He said he was going to vote for Nixon because he just didn't like McGovern. "I don't like him either," I said, "but Nixon's a crook. How can you vote for Tricky Dick Nixon? Besides, McGovern's a Democrat."

We went back and forth. At the time, Watergate was still being looked at as laughable. Couldn't be true! Well, I was a "It's true!" believer early on. Months later, he told me I had been right about Nixon and that he had made a mistake voting for him. As bad as Nixon was, and he was really a bad guy, trump is far worse. That he's surrounded by Republican members of Congress eager to bend over for him certainly doesn't help.

Watergate during the 1972 presidential campaign reminds me a bit of how trump "true believers" refuse to buy into trump's blatant corruption and equally blatant attempt to impose an oligarchic authoritarian regime on our country. They continue to turn a blind eye towards trump. Perhaps the MAGA crowd will eventually figure it out and turn against their "leader who can do no wrong."

Of course, we had a different Republican Party then. There were important GOP members of Congress who refused to bend over for Dick Nixon. Instead, they forced him out of office. Anyone see that happening in today's Congress, anytime soon? Ever, unless they are turned out in the next election?

 

I'm not a fan of the DNC at all but democrats have literally shut the government down for 3 weeks now bcz they are trying to change policy. Theyre using their leverage as best as they can which is by shutting the government down

He released a video past week claiming it was his fault he got the nazi tattoo and apologized for the racist remarks he made on reddit. Less than a week goes by and he does a 180 and attacks the democrats.

Again when you run for higher office you open yourself up to the country. If you dont want your business exposed then dont run for higher office. Its pretty simple

 

before this deplorable MAGA era, I didn’t like republicans, but that was mainly because of policy differences as the vast majority of their policies are absolute sh*t…I still had respect for some of them like John McCain…I’d be willing to vote for some of them in local elections if the Democrat was bad

if someone like Mitt Romney was running against Hillary Clinton in 2016 and won, I would’ve just shrugged my shoulders and went on about my day

their base will gladly be broke and destitute as long as the group they hate such as the black or brown person, gay person, trans person, etc might be suffering more…they basically hate others more than they love themselves

 

instead of trying to find another Graham Platner without the baggage, someone who has the message, will fight, and can get the voters of Maine excited, they are busy propping up 79 y/o Janet Mills…the typical corporate, milquetoast Schumer-backed AIPAC slave who should be retired watering her garden in the morning then watching her talk shows before her afternoon nap

if the Dem party leaders had their way, washed up Cuomo would be governor of NY which is clearly not what the people want since say what you want about Mamdani, he is beating his ass for a reason…one of Cuomo’s arguments is that you shouldn’t vote for Mamdani because that would make Trump angry and he’d go after NY basically saying he’d be a b*tch for Trump…these are the people they keep propping up

No democratic president has ever not spent what congress has given them. I dont think its unreasonable for Democrats to open the government in exchange for binding language that Trump spends what they agree upon.

You would never accept a job offer from a employer if you didnt know forsure he would pay you that. Whats the point of a budget if one side spends whatever they want anyways
