Don't want to put too much into body language and podium speak, but Caley gives off horrible vibes with his appearance and mannerisms. Not only has he not shown any competence on the field, he looks and sounds unsure and weak. He doesn't have Caserio's venture capital bro affectations that can fool people. Dressing like a college schlub only works when you can back it up with results.
This is a very insightful and accurate analysis. No doubt, the season is lost. What concerns me is that the team may not make the necessary changes to improve.
He should've been fired Tuesday...but another dud against SF I cannot see how you can keep him one more week.
I agree his playcalling has been horrific, but if he's fired then what? Are we giving up on the season? Who's going to replace him and how long would it take to implement?
Mike McCarthy is unemployed. You should’ve hired him exactly :01 seconds after the game ended Monday night. As a consultant. As a fully-blown offensive coordinator - whatever. Get him in the building.
Good Questions... For me.. I would say bring in an advisor, someone he can work with and then evaluate where things are at the end of the season. Like all young OC's he needs to learn how to adjust to the game and how the DC is calling the game... T_Man
The season is already lost anyway, show some diligence and accountability by firing the people that have been bad. At this point, try to show the talented people on the field that the org is trying. I don't want a mass exodus of our good players like what we saw with Easterby because they couldn't stand him.
“Hey, what’s the name of that guy who was able to get to exactly 1 Super Bowl with the greatest quarterback of all time? Get him on the phone STAT! He’ll save our season!”
They aren't going to fire Caley in season. It's all Caley's fault, just like it was all Slowik's fault before Caley and it will be the next OC's fault just like it was Slowik/Caley's fault.
It's Caserio's fault for going bargain bin shopping on the Oline at LG and Center. Ingram has been fine. The rookie LT would have benefited from a QUALITY veteran LG and Center.
Maybe that’s Demeco’s Defensive mind thinking Oline can be coached up like Dlinemen. I’m mean he did go in the bargain bin for our DT and Roto DE. So maybe he gave the order. Wouldn’t be the first time a defensive minded HC made that mistake.
No. You can see it with previous Caserio moves...before Demeco. Caserio is the person responsible for the Oline draft and signings.
They spent their money on the defensive side of the ball, minus Cam Robinson. Why do you think this is?
They spent money on players THEY drafted, for the most part...except for Hunter and al-Shaair. Caserio chose not to spend money on interior Oline. He was trying to save money. Ingram was a good gamble. Andrews and Tomlinson was not. Robinson was an insurance policy if the Rookie LT was ready.

You prefer them sticking with young, inexperienced guy who's never held the position, never called plays, and who's greatest accomplishment is being hired by Sean McVay? I'm by no means a *fan* of McCarthy. But hiring - or bringing in - someone who has successfully run offenses in the NFL shouldn't be dismissed at this stage. He would be significantly better.
Nate Tice brought up Caley in his weknd recap. When talking about the rookies and Caley not putting them in note he said it’s a Belichick thing AND McVey thing. McVey has not been using his 2nd round TE rookie that much either even tho he has shown some good flashes.
