The team has no offense outside of KD. Teams will just load up on him and watch the brick laying show.

Our defense is not even good right now. Too many missed rotations, too many gambles, and mismatches created. Alpi didn't even attempt to go out to a 3 point shooter. This offense is stagnant with no point guard as well. Hell, try JD Davison for God sakes. Teams get physical with the Rockets and everybody gets soft. Jabari Smith drives to basket and gets ripped from behind. Alpi drives to basket and gets blocked from behind. Im not panicking, but this team needs to find some type of offensive identity to make it easier for everyone. Also the defense needs to tighten up. That's my rant. On to the next game.

 

2-3 isn’t working. They’re not even playing an aggressive 2-3 or switch zone. Just predictable. Lazy. No energy. Durant’s energy is infectious. They needed Brooks to balance out KD’s mellow approach. We already know about Shepp. But Thompson’s defense hasn’t been there. The team just looks off. Not sure when they will click but it’s not working right now

 

3 out of 4 threes though (for those who keep saying he can’t shoot 3s). He’s getting better. Stop your b****ing lol. This team will need some time to gel and come together.

Amen is not a point guard and he sure as hell isn't a shooting guard. I would rather run JD Davison out there than have Amen as point guard. There's no way he should have the ball this much and I would like to see Ime's giant-sized lineup never again.

Without Fred, the great hope was that Reed would be better. If Reed can't do it, then go to Holiday, go to Davison, get someone out there on the perimeter who can both handle and shoot. Until you do teams are just going to double KD and collapse on Sengun - the book is written.

 

No, he’s not. The Pistons started doubling him as soon as he touched the ball midway through the fourth quarter. He made the good pass to Sengun who found a wide open Jabari Smith Jr down 113-111. Jabari has to make that three. He also found Sengun on the play where Sengun played for a foul on Paul Reed instead of finishing through contact.

 

Yeah, Ime has always been a bad coach when it comes to rotations and lineups. The Celtics never win if they stay with him.

 

Yeah, he needs to be the catch and shoot guy, thats it. We have all this size, but we are playing so slow. It feels like guys are playing out of position and it is killing us. The problem is, who do we bring in besides Okogie when DFS isn't here? Reed is not a viable option IMO.

 

We sacrificed defense for offense but can't hit the open man. Reed, Tari, Alpi, and Okogie missed KD wide open over and over again.

We're actually an entire full season and not into season two of Ime showing he's incapable of running a single offensive play.
