Unfortunately he couldn't catch passes even when he was completely open. There were at least two misses where he was rolling to the basket and not under pressure.

Also, his jump shot is still missing this season.

    Where's the troll?

Nowhere to be found after yet another loss. Kinda funny how he/she was taunting all of us the day we learned Sura got injured and would be out for a while - and now we find out he'll be coming back sooner than expected. Karma sure is a b**** aint it.

Then again, he/she will prob take the opportunity to mock our TMac injury now.

Too many TO from EVERYBODY! 24!!!

    But, :) we shot 46%FG, 38%FG 3PT compared to the Grizz's 40%FG and 33%FG 3PT.
The Grizz had only 15 TO to our 24. But when you add their FG, 3PT and TO, it was enough to give us that 3pt edge.

One good sign is that we seem to play under control in the last 2-3 minutes *when the game is close.* That's what I noticed the last game too. It just never seems like we are out of reach from the win. Even if we are down in the 4th.

Good game for Howard (7-12 FG, and 6-6 from FT, for 20 pts)
Good game for MoT (6-11FG for 12 pts)
Yao had 11 rebounds (6-12 FG and 2-2 FT)

I don't know why he does not use 2 hands on the ball, and just mash it through the rim.

If the guy would just get phsical WITH the ball, or establising position he could be unstoppable, but he just doesn't seem to have that killer instinct.

Hakeem would have killed any defense that was thrown at him, Yao just accepts that sometimes teams will take him away.

GO GET THE BALL BIG MAN !! GO GET IT YOURSELF !!!

What's up with those empty seats up front

We have YAO/TMAC and we still have probs packing Toyota Center? What other city would have that problem?

Dallas/Phila/Boston/LA/Sac/Minn/SA/Phoenix/Denver alway seems so pack and loud.

Must be Houston fans .... we only go to the good games or wait for the playoff

It would have been nice to have seen how Yao played the last couple minutes of the game (I think several of his fouls were BS). The last play he made, which was a turnaround jumper, looked great. It seems that he can perform sometimes under pressure. He doesn't seem to be motivated and he lacks concentration most of the time.

I have to compliment him on one play tonight. The one where he caught the offensive rebound with one hand and then dunked it with one hand. Was his other arm being held on that play?

Cavs Vs. Hawks tonight, attendance 19,624. if not L. James, it might turnout only less than 10,000,

People have spent their money on Astros and Texans already. As much as this sounds bad, but not having Roger Clemens come back is good for the Rockets financially. The average Houston sports fan has a finite budget to support the teams.

HOUSTON (Ticker) -- After the Houston Rockets lost All-Star Tracy McGrady for the fourth quarter, Juwan Howard helped them win.

Howard scored 10 of his season-high 20 points in the final period as the Rockets won their third straight game, escaping with a 90-87 triumph over the winless Memphis Grizzlies.

After McGrady, a two-time scoring champion, went to the locker room with an apparent hip injury after the third quarter, Howard scored eight of Houston's first 10 points in the fourth period. He hit a pair of free throws with 6:57 remaining to tie it, 78-78, and start a decisive 11-0 run.

Acquired with McGrady in an offseason trade with Orlando, Howard hit a layup 29 seconds later to give the Rockets the lead for good. Charlie Ward followed a 3-pointer.

Yao Ming scored the next four points, including a one-handed follow dunk. Howard capped the run with a pair of free throws, giving the Rockets an 87-78 lead.

Yao had 14 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out with just over one minute to play. Jimmy Jackson added 11 and nine for Houston, which outrebounded Memphis, 39-29.

Stromile Swift scored 18 points and Pau Gasol added 15 for Memphis (0-4), which led after each of the first three quarters. Swift sank his first 12 free throws before missing with the Grizzlies trailing, 89-86, with 29 seconds remaining.

Didn't see the game but isn't one of his elbows still in a brace? Although he did better in the Sac game, this could be the reason for his not using both hands and his overall lack of aggressiveness?

We do... but when we're there, we're as loud as ever.

Honestly, I think this city is a little tapped out, sports-wise. The other cities you just mentioned above either have a much larger population, suburb-wise, or they're the only viable sports franchise in town.

Also, when a city has three franchises, and you're not LA or NY, chances are one will suffer in attendance, especially in early regular season games. In Houston, its the Rockets right now (while the 'Stros and Texans draw well)... in Phoenix, its the Cardinals... in Dallas, its the Rangers... in Minnesota, its the Twins... etc.

You'll see this place packed down the stretch, but I defenitely expected a sparse crowd tonight... hell, half the city hasn't even realized that a.) baseball season is over (Clemens still wrapping up awards), b.) basketball season has started, and c.) what channel to find the games on...

There are more Astros fans with disposable income, because the games are cheaper.... also, their season ticket base is still larger than the Rockets.

Its a little bit of the baseball hangover effect, but this team didn't draw that well last year at this time... and it was the opening of the TC (which should equalize, if not surpass, the addition of TMac)
