A Texas Christian singer and worship minister born without arms from the Houston area became an inspiration for his performances, earning praise and even an invitation to perform the National Anthem at a 2022 Trump rally. Now, he's facing shocking allegations of promoting child p*rnography.
Jon Paul Sheptock, 49, the Worship Minister at First Montgomery Baptist Church in Montgomery, was arrested last month for the possession, production and distribution of child sexual assault materials. Montgomery County authorities said Sheptock was arrested while ministering to inmates at a state women's prison in Gatesville, just southwest of Waco.

Per a statement from Ryan Gable, the Montgomery County Constable for Precinct 3, detectives with his office first received information in August 2025 alleging that Sheptock was in possession of child sexual assault materials, "including videos and images of a child under 18 engaged in sexual conduct." Gable's office executed a search warrant at Sheptock's home on Sept. 26, but he was not home. That was when officers found Sheptock at the Gatesville jail, where he was arrested by officers with the Texas Department of Public Safety. Sheptock has since been extradited to Montgomery County, facing at least 20 years in prison if charged.

"Detectives from Pct. 3 conducted a comprehensive investigation and established substantial probable cause to charge Sheptock with Promotion of Child p*rnography, a third-degree felony," Gable's office wrote.

According to court records seen by ABC13, Sheptock's alleged victim testified to the Montgomery County Constable's office that Sheptock had stolen a picture of her nine years ago, when she was only 17, from her iCloud library.

"After the defendant (Sheptock) sent the image of the victim, he told her that he wanted more explicit images of her," the victim's affidavit, seen by ABC13, reads. "The defendant (Sheptock) then sent her a video depicting someone being physically assaulted, accompanied by a statement implying that he did not want that to happen to her."

Sheptock's alleged victim testified that she did not come forward at the time because of her parents' "strong religious beliefs."
