ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Thunder 10/21/2025

Tough loss, but it is crazy to think that we aren’t going to struggle a bit until we get a few games under our belt. Durant hits his free throw we win in regulation against the champs on their home court. Durant, Sengun, and Amen are going to play monster minutes. Ime still has no clue on the offensive end of the floor. We don’t need a PG, we need a SG that can shoot. Durant is not a SG and is going to get worn out with the lack of spacing. We won’t look this discombulated against a team that isn’t allowed to grab, hold, and tackle on a regular basis. Amen won’t shoot bad all year and he needs to get a lot more selfish when driving. Of course, it would help if he had somebody that could hit a corner 3. We are OKC’s toughest matchup. We will beat them at home. Sheppard could be that shooter we need, but he is right now a complete embarrassment on defense and is dribbling around the perimeter like his mentor.

I’m not shocked by Reed, I was shocked however how Tari outside of that 1 block and 1 three had all horrendous plays as if he forgot how to play basketball and how KD allowed himself to be taken out of the game, was so lazy with it and choking TWICE in one game. Our savior my ass.

 

they had no Jalen Williams, their 2nd best player

and they shot 13-52 from deep

we’re outclassed when they’re at full strength

 

FVV ball would have won us this game tonight. He would have gotten Durant and your boy Sengun several easy looks and eliminated the need for them to bring the ball up. Need evidence, look of the highlights from last season of Fred actively seeking out the ball when the offensive stagnated and hunting out Al P.

He can't break dow a defense ;;;;not a big JD fan (bammer) but he would have been worth some burn instead of DNP.

 

Wish they had put Tari on defense there. He blocked SGA to end the first OT. Just younger and more athletic I get wanting the length of Durant, almost worked but alas. Houston just can’t beat Seattle in any sport.

Thought that Bari shot was going in. Damn. Looked clunky AF. Team needs to gel. Way too many lazy passes that got picked off. Amen getting cramps basically lost the game. Missed FTs from KD, Reed and Sengun. Lots to take away from it but team should win 55+.

We gave Jalen Green like 4 years to see what he could do for us. Let’s not quit on Reed after game 1 where he finally got some heavy minutes.

 

Dort was holding and grabbing him the entire play. That’s why the steal occurred. Problem is, the refs give Dort the Draymond Green treatment, so he doesn't foul out in the first quarter.

 

That was not a great game for anyone but Thunder fans and casuals. **** that.

 

Amen can’t stay healthy
Eason is playing like he’s in his head since he turned down rockets offer and his health is also a ??
FVV is out for year
Reed is too small on D and horrible at almost everything on O
DFS is signed and hurt

I’ll stick by Rockets should of traded Eason and Reed and etc etc - kept JG as the #3 option and ball handler after we spent 3 years developing that skill ‍♂️

watching Amen and Reed dribble dribble dribble and then wildly drive and kick the ball out of bounds or to other team will become a regular sight
