I know it's been beaten to death, but after last season its completely an utterly inecusable that addressing protection issues wasn't goal 1, 2 and 3 of the offseason.

Instead they decided to protect their potential franchise QB by trading the best lineman they have and bringing in "new voices" It's a fireable offense all by itself.

The Texans don't have a franchise QB.

You could have stopped after watching CJ run backwards for 30 yards and get sacked for what was nearly a safety rather than getting the ball out. That's pretty much a microcosm for the entire season.

Im not saying the OL is awesome or anything, but when my 7 year old is calling out the play before they run it, maybe your offensive scheme just sucks ass.

The QB sneak is the best short yardage play in football and the Texans have been allergic to it since Schaub’s lisfranc.

Why did Berrios become the punt returner, why didn’t they run QB sneak even once, why didn’t we see British brooks run FB dive on short yardage, why didn’t we continue going back to play action when the Seahawks refused to guard the TE, why did we run the football with ~3 mins left and kill 40 seconds, why when we stupidly ran the football there did we not hurry up and run another play, why are we still committing back breaking stupidity penalties to extend drives, why are we guarding Smith-Njigba by pressing him with Lassiter, why, on Gods green earth, didnt we kick the last kickoff either 1) through the end zone 2) out of bounds 3) or if our kicker is that inept, attempt an onside kick, why is our stupid OC from John Carroll

Well hell, that was UGLY.............a few points

    • This O Line, based on Quality is a lost cause, scheme all you want but if the guys cant do it then what are we doing? I put the "Quality" of players on Casserio and Demeco, Demeco should be pounding the table for quality players
    • I cant believe I am going to say this, but I am not sure Demeco is a quality HC, I hope I am wrong but the discipline in all 3 phases lacks consistency, you had 2 weeks to get ready and of this is the best you can do, then I am not sure you're the guy
    • CJ cannot play with sub par quality lineman, give him time and he`s awesome, but if its chaos around him, he takes a huge step back
    • The D is not as good as I thought, Seattle is dam good and while there were some great plays, overall I give them a C
    • Casserio has some excellent traits, picking O Line isnt one of them and the direction of the team is backtracking.
    • The Texans need to look in the mirror, and it starts from the top down, were on the verge of paying CJ $60 million per year and of this is the product the Texans put on the field to help him it's not worth it.
    • Astros are out of it, the Texans seem to be dead and it sucks to be a HTOWN fan today

I am still sick - the offense just sucks, there was nothing done to take the pressure off, teams can blitz us and our QB is bad at hitting the hot route....

It is a complete mess on the O-line -Stroud doesn't help by varying the snap count either - the offense is horrible.

I agree with everything here said but one thing...

Leave the Stros and Rockets out of this. They are much better run than the Texans have been. Not saying you disagree with this though, I just want to highlight how bad the Texans have been as a franchise.

Stros kind of got screwed out of the cheating thing, had to give up their entire brain trust because of it (and watch as they go to other teams...) but they still have at least two championships out of it. This year was kind of meh tbh but we'll see what they do moving forward.

Rockets are one of the most competitive and historic franchises in the NBA, we Rocket fans are kind of spoiled. They just don't have the rings to show for it because the NBA is kind of top heavy and the parity is such that 2-3 teams can own an entire decade and shut everyone else out.

But we Rocket fans really are spoiled. Every rebuild we have takes like 2-3 years then we're right back in the hunt, nearly we're always in the playoffs and nearly always a factor in those playoffs unlike other teams like Charlotte whose been rebuilding since existence. This isn't to say the Rockets are perfectly run but they go after it.

The Texans are a bit of joke, unfortunately, even when we're good no one takes us seriously. There was some hope here that with Demeco and CJ things would turn around but the luster is gone. They are going to need to make major changes, that much is clear.

I remember and the reason Wade said was because hed never seen hands so large on a defensive lineman. I remember him just gushing about Watt's hands at the podium.

Not sure we’re worse. Just not playing the Ravens and the Titans (for a quarter)

Time to tank. Playoffs aren’t happening with this O-line and scheme. Last year was a disaster for the aforementioned and somehow it got worse!

Yeah time to tell cJ to fake a injury and tank. The season is lost with our schedule and the Colts playing well. Try to get an elite talent in the draft

    Colts 6-1 and Texans 2-4. I don't think it's happening boys.
