Cam Whitmore traded to Wizards for 2 2nd round picks

Problem with Cam is that he's always been the best athlete on the floor up and gotten away with not perfecting anything and just relying on that athleticism ....

I heard he's enjoying the night life & partying more than spending time in the gym and that this has been a theme since he got here. That's terrible for your body.

Easy to see why his performance might suffer and why Washington won't commit to developing him over the guys ahead of him in the pecking order.

 

Dude, the posters been pretending he is a 4 year player, he ain't, he is still 21....

KPJ made it to a Starter, do you think he is worse than KPJ? Attacked and beat up women?

The Wizards have like 15 players that are pretty similar, they will consolidate, once that happens, he got a better chance.

They have to somehow get rid of Corey Kispert and Justin Champagnie.

Just too many of those .......obstructing the way and not really helping their rebuild either.

I think Rockets fans care more about how Cam will play than Wizards fans

I have been to a bunch of Wizards games the last few years and there are always multiple guys checking in or even starting that I have never heard of and have to look up on my phone

Even without Whitmore being on the team, they should be shown the door.

Kispert and Champagnie are just your every day journeyman. They are probably not old but once they hit 28-29 they would be journeyman.

 

They are 24 and 26 respectively. I also think as a franchise they like Kispert for being a good guy to have around on a below market contract

We saw this during the Rockets rebuild, but you can't JUST have rookies & g League players, there's no value in winning 7 games instead of 17 games - there's also a salary floor you have to meet, and the wizards are only 10m above it (getting rid of Kispert, CJ McC or Middleton without taking back salary puts them below it

 

John Hollinger predicts Whitmore to be in the running for Most Improved Player award this year.

BTW he also makes a bunch of other bold predictions, including Shaedon Sharpe of the Blazers as 6th Man of the Year, Tyronn Lue as COY, and the possibility of the Rockets finishing in the play-in.

he doesn’t seem to like the rockets. I listen to his podcast and he always seems to be a little down on Houston.

I have heard him on Lowe a couple times just saying the rockets will suck because we only have pfs and that was before fvv went out. I understand that kinda but all our guys can do a lot of different things. I can see us having some trouble getting the ball up against the best defenders but I don’t think it will put us back 10 games from last year.
