The latest shows the Commanders are now in the 12th spot in the 1st round (we're 10th).

    https://www.profootballnetwork.com/mockdraft

When running the simulator, their pick ends up being the 43rd pick.

Not bad to have our 1st rounder and 2 2nd rounders who can help our squad quick - especially our OL.

    JD pulled a hammy

This has nothing to do with Tunsil or how well JD has been protected. Tunsil has played at a high level according to guys like former GM Pat Kirwin.

Not disagreeing he's a good LT, but it's been refreshing so far without constantly going backward.

Tunsil is just a bad vibes guy. He is great at pass pro, but brings no intangibles and is undisciplined. Not saying he's the reason the Commies are 3-4, but he won't be the reason that they turn it around either.

Exactly, he's one of those sleeper reasons why teams under-perform. He's not an additive player.

Tunsil reminds me of the saying, “ with friends like that who needs enemies”

Tunsil for all the talent, is so honed in on not getting beat that he gives out false starts like they were candy at Halloween.

Have you seen that schedule and there defense? There’s a strong possibility that’s a first 10 pick in the second round. Nick doing work!

My issue with Tunsil is that he provides zero leadership and is your highest paid guy. The highest paid guy needs to be the one setting the example with discipline and creating an atmosphere of accountability/toughness. Especially on the offensive line. Guy is so good don’t get me wrong, but he is not someone you pay on a championship team.

Tunsil is playing chess, while other suckas are playing checkers. Goin hard on consecutive plays on a long drive? Hell No! Lets just false start it, so me and the boys can get some extra rest. Thats a vet vet move. So considerate of his o line teammates as well.

Kirwin said Tunsil is playing at an all pro level. Weird how playing around better players has made him play better

I'll trust his Kirwin's judgement of random MB guys.

Did you watch the game? He didn’t pull his hamstring running. He pulled it cuz he get bent in 3 different ways while getting hit in the pocket. It definitely had to do with the oline.

Yeah, I watched the game and that wasn't on Tunsil.

Listen to Voch Lombardi/Bryan Broaddus and what they thought about Tunsil's play yesterday on their Doin Alright podcast if you dont want to listen to Kirwin. These men have forgot more about football than you and I will ever know.

I didn’t say it was on tunsil. I was responding to your statement about it had nothing to do with how well JD has been protected. Except it actually did.

I think most people acknowledge Tunsil is an all pro LT. That is huge! But Tunsil on the Texans wasn’t meshing. It could be Tunsil had no respect of the peers in the line?

It’s best to have a OL that functions fluidly like a unit. When you have a well oiled machine at OL, the luxury is finding that franchise LT.

I am not hating on Tunsil, but the Texans decided that Tunsils money was better spent on other priorities.

Ryans decided this, I wonder if he would like a do over?

Tunsil/Howard/Andrews/Ratledge with the Higgins pick/Ersery and drafting the best run blocking TE in the draft (Hawes) would look a lot better than what Ryans currently has out there.

After the Monday night debacle at OL, the Texans need to not only prioritize fixing the Offensive line, but getting it right. ASAP!!!!

The defense is elite good. The receivers look good. The QB may be starting to get recalibrated; much like David Carr. If the OL keeps getting tossed around like rag-dolls, that will make way for another rebuild. Guys play at elite level 2-3 years. If the OL takes 2-3 to get right, the opportunity was wasted!

But I do think you are right, Texans may be rethinking their Tunsil trade. I was genuinely so disappointed how the OL got manhandled at the hands of Seattle… eek

Tunsil was trade so they could re-sign and re-structure Stingley/Hunter etc... I would've kept Tunsil and traded Hunter to create the needed cap space. But since Ryans is a DC guy it didn't surprise me that they chose Hunter over Tunsil.
