I personally don't get the fascination. I mean it made sense back when he was 19 and the team was tanking. Now he's 23 and has 4 years of bleh under his belt, and the team is trying to compete. Shouldn't they want to aim either for more upside or more capable of filling a role?
Jesus ****ing christ, I actually just thought about how pathetic we used to be that we had this guy as an NBA player. WTF is this...
wait, what? what's the point to begin with? fertita needed some tax write offs or to get out of some sort of tax brackets? someone smarter or in the know explains this to everyone?
Nix....one of those that needed his shot to translate to the NBA, but just couldn''t handle NBA closeouts.
haha thanks. Nix has year 4-5 of service? So he'd make in the range of $1,7 - $1.8m range (minium salary). Stone wouldn't be able to fit him into a standard contract even if he wanted to (unless he waived a Tate or Uncle Jeff).
Foolish me. I must own up to a mistake posted earlier in this thread. If he's ever on the roster for a game, Daishen Nix will NOT be player #14 on the totem pole. He'll be #15. Sorry about that. Gotta learn to count better.
Signing Nix so shortly and then get Waived, might be a tell Nix will be on the Vipers possibly this year. 1. Sign an Exhibit 10 contract with an NBA team. (rockets) 2. Be waived by that team. (rockets) 3. Join the team's G League affiliate and remain there for at least 60 days. Nix gets a salary bump (an exhibit 10 bonus) while in G-league, and Rockets possibly has some rights on him.
Kind of telling people who jumped to the “Reed is not ready yet” train, but thank heavens this was not a true signing.
gotta be the biggest troll job ever. This is a shorter signing than dudes who want to retire with the team they started, at least that lasts 24 hours lol.
This is the same as the Knicks with Mac McClung. It is a GLeague rights signing. Sign to NBA deal then waive so that you have their GLeague rights (exhibit 10)
