If Reed were good enough, they wouldn't need to do this.

You just can’t leave a lottery pick talent on the waiver wire like that :p

When you have the chance to add a lottery level talent, you have to do it.

Stone loves these G-league ignite projects. They always work out don't they? If we had to pick up a body might as well have been Spencer Dinwiddie.

Reed needs a backup. There is literally no one else on the roster. This is more against JD/Holiday.

Anxiously waiting for the Daishen Nix is The Rockets' Franchise Player™ thread ... followed by the Daishen Nix Appreciation Thread ... with maybe a Should Nix Start? thread in betwixt.

Okogie might make that a moot point (I can dream) with Holiday as 3rd-string.

Okogie isnt a PG and cant masquerade as one either. Holiday also cant.

But the bigger point is Nix can't masquerade as an NBA rotation player either. He's player #14 on this team, not #7 or #8 (or even 9).

Okogie can play G next to Reed or Amen.

He was the ultimate Reed-stopper when Reed was flexing his CP3 moves in last year’s summer league.

Obviously, Reed needed a challenge, since no one on the current roster could even slow him in practice.

I think this has more to do with Reed getting a bit banged up last night and having a moment that he looked like he might be injured.
