    Abbott is deploying the National Guard in Austin (yet nowhere else in Texas?), just to be safe!

    This is a NO KING protest, not an insurrection on the Capitol or other violent events. I’m sure there might be some trouble, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some try to turn the event violent to discredit it. But it’s large and widespread across thousands of cities, so it’s not easy to derail.

    Of course, the June 14, 2025 NO KINGs protests were peaceful. ~5 million people participated. Sad to see politicians, though not surprising, are already discrediting what was peaceful as some upcoming violent event - I mean, it almost sounds like they want a king.
