It doesn't, I've never seen the like of mental gymnastics done to support a player who completely crapped the bed during the playoffs in 6 out of 7 games averaging 13-5-3 while consistently wanting to trade a guy who carried the team the entire series and averaged 21-12-5 even if they have to gut the entire team as long as it's not their favorite player.
