Its gone from 20 billion to 40 billion. Why are we proping up their junk currency? Why do we have to support the failed administration?

I honestly don't care about the @Os Trigonum of the universe who are maga lifers. They are beyond hope.

The "elites' and the rest of the capitulators who are throwing their lot in with Trump should realize they are literally sowing the seeds of their irrelevance. Wall St, the Tech Broligarchs, universities etc - all trading short term gain for long term pain as we turn into an economically backward prison state.

to borrow a quote from the "deep throat" character in he movie, "All The President's Men",

this means massive economic benefits for one American: billionaire hedge fund manager Rob Citrone, who has
placed large bets on the future of the Argentine economy. Citrone, the co-founder of Discovery Capital Management,
is also a friend and former colleague of Bessent—a fact that has not been previously reported in US media outlets.
Citrone, by his own account, helped make Bessent very wealthy.

Since Javier Milei, a right-wing populist, became president of Argentina in December 2023, Citrone has invested heavily in Argentina.
Citrone has bought Argentine debt and purchased equity in numerous Argentine companies that are closely tied to
the performance of the overall economy. Due to Argentina’s massive debt load and chaotic economic history—in 2023,
Argentina’s inflation rate was over 200 percent—Citrone purchased Argentine bonds with an interest rate of nearly 20 percent.
(Citrone has declined to detail exactly “how much of the $2.8 billion he manages is invested” in Argentina.)

other beneficiartes of the rescue package include organizers of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), an influential right-wing political group. https://www.motherjones.com/politic...e-fund-billionaire-rob-citrone-scott-bessent/

In November 2024, shortly after Trump’s election, key CPAC officials, including Matt Schlapp and Mercedes Schlapp, founded a new lobbying firm called Tactic Global. This is the same group that organized CPAC Argentina in December 2024, an event that featured Milei, Lara Trump, and other right-wing luminaries. CPAC has long played a key role in Trump’s political operation.

In February 2025, Tactic Global began representing the Argentine government as a foreign agent. According to the filing, “Tactic will serve as a liason [sic] between Presidencia de la Nacion de la Republica Argentina and its counterparts in the U.S. Tactic will coordinate meetings between officials of the two countries and offer strategic counsel to the Secretaria de Inteligencia de Estado.”

The contract specifies that Argentina pays Tactic $10,000 per month.

Argentina is an excellent investment. We’ll likely achieve an attractive return on capital.

And what a dishonest thread title with regard to kicking people off healthcare. We are talking about removing the temporary enhanced insurance benefits. Which were never intended to be permanent. All agreed on this at the time they were put in place. So dishonest to now say they are being eliminated.

    GOOD DAY

Traitor Geroge continues to post nonsense

in 2017, Argentina needed $50 B bailout from the IMF to keep its economy afloat

in 2025, the value of its currency had dropped so much that it could not conduct any international trade.
the recent bail out from the US was to afford it the liquidity to conduct international trades

When was the last time the Argentine Peso gained value on the dollar for an entire year? Swapping out the dollar for the Argentine peso has been an excellent investment over the past few decades ? MAGATs are going to tell you that playing the lottery is a excellent investment next lolol.

    Utterly shameless individuals

Trump's a disgusting corrupt POS, and every damn Republican who supports throwing billions to help out a far right leader while cutting healthcare for Americans are just as corrupt and disgusting. America First my ass! More like far right leaders, corrupt leaders, leaders who commit crimes against humanity, billionaires, and protection of MAGA pedos and friends first. What a crock of a slogan. Pure BS is what that slogan is. Every damn MAGA voter who loses healthcare, struggles with the cost of living, and cheers on Trump is stupid as hell, and living in the mentality of a brainwashed cult, that feeds their leader while taking from them in return. It's just mind-blowing how they believe he cares about them if they don't have a pot to pee in.
