Lock up Tari. Who gives a hsit about aprons if you've got all the players you could want. If worse gets to worse we cab always trade him for a star guard. I remember when Draymond named Tari as the player most likely to wind up up like him.
His handles have become noticeably tighter. And I love that he clearly has fixed his problem with finishing.
That mid range jumper was just awesome too. His 3 point shot will come around, but is he uncomfortable with KD's presence? I'm sure his contract situation is bothering him as well.
I'm glad he started to get things going after the big talk coming in. Hopefully he'll relax a bit and stop forcing it and we can actually see the results of his hard work. He clearly came in with a chip on his shoulder, I really hope for our and his sakes that he backs it up and doesn't psyche himself out of it by pressing just to stand out.
The check better come quickly because his heart and soul may be sent out West or to the 313. Love Tari, but we have some needs that he, Clint and () could help facilitate.
Detroit? Who are they giving up that will help us? Out West...Spurs? Only team directly west of us, everyone else is higher north and west. Don't like helping out the division opponents. W capitalized? I hope not the Warriors, gross! I would rather go into RFA than trade Tari to them.
Has to be a guard. Detroit aren't going to trade Cade or Ausar. Ivey? The only California team I don't hate is the Kings. "Out West" could be Phoenix or Utah, or even Portland.
I don’t think Tari gets traded. In the nightmarish scenario that he does, I’d be ok with Toumani Camara, Keon Ellis, perhaps. Jaden Ivey? Come on, you ship out a dude that wants to get paid, only to get another dude that wants to get paid? Makes no sense. I don’t like anyone from the Detroit roster other than Holland, Thompson and Cunningham lol. Also, the thought of trading Tari to get “help” is fundamentally wrong. The number of players that can be as impactful at his level of $$ is countable with fewer than five fingers. You would never get equal value in return.
For reference, Alperen Sengun signed extension on Oct 21, 2024, the very last day of the then rookie extension deadline. Expect this to drag to the very last minute.
So.... Tari Eason is just now good at making layups? pretty wild when compared to his rookie year, some of his transition makes this pre-season is just jaw dropping
His hard work shows. Injuries can help slow down the game, too. Gives players time to develop their minds and build their game to match their own abilities. He seems to be more comfortable with in his own play.
After watching pre-season, unless Tari starts to become a distraction, it would be ****ing stupid to trade him. He’s our 6th man, the only guy on the bench squad who is producing on the offensive end right now.
It might be Austin Reeves. He is opting out next year and looking for around 40m per. If the Rockets don’t think they will be able to re-sign Tari in the off-season, they might go all-in on Reeves for this year and an obvious position of need. They probably wouldn’t be players for him in 2026, but if they didn’t think they would re-sign Tari it’s a wash. If this was going to happen right now it would have to be Tari and Sheppard. Then you still don’t have a backup guard worth a flip. It could be Tari plus other assets in mid-December.
