T Squid is probably the floor of Cam Whitmore. He actually reminded me of Corey Maggette (DD's favorite) who had a decent NBA career.

Looked up, T Squid had a mediocre Rookie season and then went on to play 10 games every year for 5 years.

He actually lasted a lot longer for only playing 10 games a year. I think that is easily beatable.

All of his game flaws are minor compared to the coachability issue but once he can be coached, he is still an NBA player at the very least.

For all the discussions about his 2nd year, dude still played in 51 games.

One might have thought he only played in 20 given these heated debates.

Dude isn't even getting minutes in Wizard's preseason. Cam must really have the worst personality on the planet.

I don't think the Wizards anticipated him riding the bench until they got to know him.

Washington is basically the 2021 Rockets so it really is the best situation for Cam. They're still tanking and developing their players and can brush off any mistakes he makes while developing. If he doesn't get minutes there you know it's really bad.

Cam actually has star potential he has strength, athleticism, handles and shooting ability. Too bad he is a bit of a headcase and follows Carmelo Anthony style of empty stats over winning basketball.

So much potential just wasted IMO.

Yeah but the prob in Wash he has competition, Bilal Coulabily for example is also young but plays winning basketball and got trusted in the playoffs in Euroleague. Tre Johnson and Bub Carrington can move off ball which Cam still struggles with. I guess we will see but I think he sees even less time than on Rox if he had stayed.

WRONG! It's just another coach who isn't doing his job motivating this fine young man!

Tanking teams often have lots of prospects to sort through to see who's good. The 2021 Rockets added four 1st round rookies at once and still had young guys like KPJ entering his second season with the team.

I watched some Washington games last season and while Sarr, Carrington, and George have some promise they are not outstanding. Bilal is a good defender but is quite raw as well. Playing time is up for grabs. Cam's going into his third year and coming from a winning team. I'm sure he can compete with them. If he can't carve out minutes against them, or even rookies like Tre Johnson or Will Riley, I would be very surprised. If he gets less time there than here then he's simply not going to make it in the league long term. There is no excuse for him to get fewer minutes.

No matter how promising they once were, every single player on the Wizards roster doesn't realize how close he is to falling out of the NBA. Losing is contagious, unfortunately.

If he only gets the same developmental reps as Jalen, I mean Bilal Coulibaly, the world will see that the guy is a bonafide star

You have no idea how little TSquid played in the end.....like 3% of all season.

Talen Horton Tucker played much more and he is out of the league.

Whitmore in 2 years already played more than Terrence Williams in 5-6 years (his entire Career).

Unfortunately attitude is everything. Reed played so much worse than Cam last year but still got more mins because his attitude is better.
