Some would say he is the worst QB in the league.

No one said Maye couldn't be a solid starter and has arm talent. You just said Stroud was trash and Maye was the second coming. Maye has played well against BAD teams, with a decent game against the Bills.

He's been good but look at the teams he's facing. He will get figured out eventually and have to adjust. Look at how CJ Stroud began his career. Teams will adjust and that's when the true test begins.

Don’t change what was said now.
You specifically said Maye didn’t have CJ’s arm talent.

    Yeah, we will see.
He hasn’t really had any bad games this season.

Never said that. You can search....never said that. What I did say about Maye is that I wasn't impressed by his games versus the quality of his competition.

Drake's been good, but I never doubted he'll be something in the NFL. Hope CJ can continue to build from the previous two games.

Maye's already been through his rookie year and has made the adjustments to his game in his 2nd season to become a successful NFL QB. What interests me is how fast CJ picks up the offense vs how fast Maye picks up the offense since they're both basically running the same offense.

Look at the passing attempts. CJ Stroud had 550 in his rookie season combined including Playoffs. Drake Maye is at 517 total attempts now. He is basically where CJ was, in his rookie season.

CJ Stroud went 23 TDs on 6 INTs and went 9-6 as a rookie...and was 1-1 in the Playoffs with 3 TDs/0 picks

NFL teams had 17 whole games to scout CJ, including two playoff games where gameplans are just way more advanced and strategic. They found CJ (and the Texans offense) weaknesses and exploited it in year 2.

No one was gameplanning for Maye seriously in his rookie year. He had worse numbers and his team didn't win. Opposing coaches looked at the Pats as easy wins. The most equivalent year for Drake Maye will be year 3, where coaches will have taken him seriously. Let's see how he fares.

    Gotta disagree with you here.

How many games did Maye start last year? Enough for DC's to be able to know his strengths and weaknesses. Believe me when I tell you coaches are taking Maye seriously this year.

Funny enough, Maye had a better passer rating than CJ last year.
13 games played is for sure enough of a sample to know what you’re getting. But you’re right, need to see how it goes. So far, second seasons Maye has shown more growth.

Why are we spamming Maye on a Stroud thread lol.

For the Maye lovers go be Patriot fans if this is your obsession.

Watch his tape. He is a first read QB still. He absolutely has the talent to be a Josh Allen clone. Will he get there? Maybe.

But watch his head in the pocket. Locks on. First read merchant with some good playmaking after he gets out of the pocket.

I personally am not ready to crown that yet.
