Definitely not obscure since it won an Academy for short films back in 2006, but for those of you who haven't seen it and like dark humor and Martin McDonagh films I recommend this 26 minutes of your time.
Without a doubt, Altered Carbon on Netflix, based on the books written by Richard K. Morgan. They made two seasons but stopped due to the production getting too expensive, likely not being able to afford the special effects, and Anthony Mackie anymore due to becoming a Marvel star. But I would straight up pay Netflix additional funds to create a new season and complete the books. The trailer doesn't do it justice, watch the first few episodes.
Just watched Strange Harvest, a True Crime Mocumentary about a serial killer with supernatural subtext. Pretty good and worth a watch. It's set in 2011, and the only thing i didn't like, and this is really just me being me, is few stylistic items that didn't fit for 2011; a teenage girl recording a makeup review like you'd see on social media in the 2020's, the tattoo styles were more recent than what you would have seen in 2011 and one college-age chick had her septum (middle of nose) pierced, something that's only really been in vogue in the past few years. But the movie kept me going and I wanted to see the killer's plan come to fruition.
