I don’t know that I’ve ever hated a coach of one of my teams more than Brian Kelly. Les Miles gave me headaches, Bill O’Brien was a choed, Espada just has a very low IQ. It’s so painful watching his teams.
I'm loving this so much. I've also got to put in another plug for Luke Altmyer, the most overlooked player in all of CFB the last two years. He will have a very long NFL career.
UCLA's coaching change is certainly paying off today You hate to see this happen to a school with the rich tradition and history of Penn State
Got close at the end, but the Sanduskies go down to UCLA 42-37. For reasons I cannot explain, PSU went for it on 4th and 2 from the 10 yard line with a designed QB running play instead of kicking to tie the game at 40, then UCLA ran the clock down to under 20 seconds and took an intentional safety.
Me too, but just to be clear, none of that was on Altmyer. IU's d-line should be in prison for the abuse they inflicted. Altmyer did the best with what was available and he also took a beating. Peak Tom Brady wouldn't have done any better.
Thinking about @B-Bob and @rocketsjudoka as I'm watching Cal vs Duke football, because it's the only decent game on this late
Just taking a peak at CF.net. I didn’t watch the game and have largely given up on college football. Cal playing Duke as a conference game is another example of what’s wrong with the college football. There is no rivalry or tradition to the two schools and they are on opposite ends of the country.
Last night I assumed it was a non-conference game...I had totally forgotten that Cal is somehow now in the Atlantic Coast Conference, which makes perfect sense unless you own a map. Good to hear from you again, hope all is well in your world.
The UNC football train wreck is about to blow up. This thing never had a chance. Some really bad stuff going on. Old Bill probably won't be on the sideline against Cal.
Belichick has signalled a willingness to trigger his own $1 million buyout if he can find a soft landing with another team or in media Absolutely Fu**ing Hilarious "another team"
So this is acutally gonna happen. Thought I had already posted about this before but can't find it. Holdouts Ohio State and Michigan now seem to be on board. This is a huge gift to the "lower revenue" B1G schools. Short summary: B1G is gonna get a one-time $2 billion infusion from a private equity fund (tied to the Univ of California pension system) A new entity called Big Ten Enterprises will have its ownership split between the 18 schools plus the equity fund. It will control all B1G media rights. The equity fund's share of BTE will be very small. Grant of Rights is extended to 2046 which would kill any notion of creating a "Superconference" (which I never thought would happen). https://www.espn.com/college-sports...ses-private-equity-agreement-vote-per-sources I wasn't sure if this was worth a new thread. Probably is.
Birthdate: April 16, 1952 He will be 74 next Spring, so maybe he should just enjoy his Money & Retirement.
Indiana is obviously better than I thought, and I thought they were pretty damn good. Curt Cignetti may be the coach of the decade.
