Sony Pictures Classics has premiered the full trailer for “Nuremberg,” a new historical drama film surrounding the events leading up to the war crimes trials held in the wake of World War II.

The film, based on Jack El-Hai’s novel “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist,” stars Rami Malek as a psychiatrist who interviews Nazi prisoners to determine whether they are fit to stand trial.

He soon becomes locked in a dramatic psychological duel with former Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring (Russell Crowe).

Michael Shannon stars as the unyielding chief prosecutor, Robert H. Jackson, who must ensure the Nazi regime answers for the unveiled horrors of the Holocaust.

Nearly two dozen of the most important surviving leaders of Nazi Germany as well as six German organizations were put on trial.

“Zodiac” and “The Amazing Spider-Man” writer James Vanderbilt pens and directs the film which also stars Richard E. Grant, Colin Hanks, Leo Woodall, John Slattery, Lotte Verbeek, Mark O’Brien, Wrenn Schmidt and Andreas Pietschmann.

“Nuremberg” opens in cinemas on November 7th.

"I just put on this weight so that I could play Göring." -- Crowe, probably, at least to himself, after eating a pint of ice cream before bed.

Excellent. Been thinking about Justice Jackson's opening remarks a lot lately and hope to hear similar words in a courtroom again soon.

There's a Nuremburg in Pensylvania. Maybe we can get a sequel.
