OK, I finally had a chance to watch this whole game. My takeaways:

    1. Love the expanded repertoires from Sengun and Jabari. This opens up so many more opportunities in the offense. I was kind of shocked at how much Ime was willing to rely on Sengun to run the offense in Fred's absence. I wonder if Alpi can sustain it.

    2. Is it really possible that Jabari is maturing from a beta to an alpha? I didn't think he had it in him. What a game-changer that would be.

    3. Sorry, I'm not feeling the Davison love. Mediocre defensive footwork, plays too much of the game bobbing and bouncing, feet off the floor. He'll foul out or get blown by. His ball handling is unremarkable. He has decent court vision but threw every pass 3 feet too high. His shots went in but didn't look like a reliable stroke over the course of a season. Hope I'm wrong.

    4. Tari was fine but didn't show anything like the growth we've seen from Amen, Alpi, and Jabari. The word that comes to mind, if he's holding out for more money and we need to make a trade, is "replaceable."

    5. This is my main takeaway: Play Reed Sheppard. A lot. He's talented, but he's making the kind of mistakes that a youngster makes when he's figuring out situations he hasn't seen a lot. Practice won't cut it -- he needs to be thrown into these situations in real games, till he knows what to do without thinking. Ideally, we'd ease him into the role, but with Fred out, we need to accelerate Reed's development. It will probably cost us some games, but we need to pay that price now so we'll have a more reliable PG in the playoffs.

This team is going to be a "load" to deal with. There will be on and off nights, but generally they are going to be a formitable opponent. If they are on their game they will blow out most teams. They can put a HUGE lineup on the floor at any time. I mean almost all seven footers.
